Johan, I came to your most recent post to try to get a hold of you. I have a tip you might appreciate. You should bathe your garters relatively often. Maybe once a week if you are willing to put the time in. This is important not just for the bathing but for the handling. You can wipe them down with a towel after each time and it should help with the socialization and touch tolerance of your animals. This tip comes from Brett Dunn, a quality garter breeder here in the U.S.

I found brett duns video a year ago and tried it. My snakes where not found if and my female got so stressed that she got a chock and died. Well at least i think she did. She was not moving for 5 minutes. After massaging her she came to life again. So even tho I love his contant I would highly recommend people to be very cautious when trying this. I personally won't recommend everyone to put a water bowl into the enclosure and let the garters decide for them self when they want to bath. And if someone want to tame down their gathers I would recommend 10-20 minutes of daily handling! :) I'm so sorry for the late reply!! AND thank you so much to the tip.
