Thanks to Dave I was able to sell my leased car , and get rid of most of my debt before my baby was born , since we will only live on one income it was important to us . Now we use one car but have never been more relieved about money and not have to make a payment . Now I can stay home with my baby and not stress about money
@sues68477 жыл бұрын
excuse me but how did you manage to sell something you don't own?
@ZacGolus7 жыл бұрын
Sue S You can sell it still. You sell the car and finance the difference (or use saved money)
@HuntaKiller917 жыл бұрын
Sue S just pay the remainder of the loan from the money u got from selling the car..might lose a little but still thats going to take off the burden

Thanks. I''ve never taken a lease or loan for a car so don't understand how this stuff works.

This is too true. Love to be told off, then educated by Mr Dave, so simple to follow but definately not easy, but taking baby steps and stepping away from spending like money grows on trees is a sure fire way to increase financial peace. I know! Thanks Mr. Dave, need to listen daily to keep me in check. From London.

You don't win by accident...except for many who do. This is where you've gotta chew the meat and spit out the bones with dave. The reality is, most of his advice is GREAT. It's also reality that plenty of people are born into wealth, and also that there are plenty of people MUCH richer than Dave who are evil. God doesn't send anyone money.
@1stLtDavis7 жыл бұрын
Exactly correct. I remember when I was still very evangelical. Sometimes I got the old question of "why do bad things happen to good people?" I might talk about good and evil, luck, and the story of Job (not really a good story!). But once I got the question in the reverse, why do good things happen to bad people?...

Bad people don't get money by accident either. And Inherited money was made on purpose by someone. It's very rare that someone gains wealth completely by accident and those few who get money that way often lose it. Poor people who have poor habits might win the lottery but that money just runs through their fingers.
@1stLtDavis7 жыл бұрын
Yeah I know that. And then I ran into a guy much smarter than me, and he laid it all out. It's a recurring theme, particularly in those days where there was really no hope of upward mobility. "don't worry about being born into the gutter, because it's harder for the rich man to get into heaven. They get to live like they're in heaven now, but don't worry when you're dead and buried you'll get it." Uh huh lol.

Dear Dave, I'd like to tell you that in your book - Complete Guide to Money - which I liked a lot, in pages 314-315, hardcover, maybe I'm wrong, but I think the word is 'tenth of your income' instead of 'increase'. Thanks a lot! God bless you and your family....

Depends. Some students are extremely intelligent but the system isn't fair and they need financial help. Then these kids will be worth the investment and of course it involves a huge trust and the kind of personality the kid has. Many students live in one house to split costs too. You will not be able to live in luxury for a while but if you keep working hard someday you can, in fact, it's kinda expected to live below the poverty line too unless of course you were born into a wealthy family with giving parents.

It doesn't make sense to me either. I was taught growing up that with the exception of a house, if you can't pay for it outright you can't afford it. I've taken only one loan in my life for my home through my credit union so in credit world I don't exist.

No such thing as free medical. Like free education its not free.
@sidharthchand80727 жыл бұрын
I personally don't mind paying higher taxes to ensure that everybody gets medical coverage. Unlike education where people choose to go into useless degrees. Nobody chooses to get sick, we shouldn't have to be burdened with thousands and thousands of dollars worth of medical debt. Even if you have insurance once you hit your deductible you have to pay out-of-pocket.
