@@ewanwallace1 Mine was a brand new 17 plate car. The issues list is long... 1. Power fold mirror faulty, replaced under warranty. 2. 3 cases of check engine lights happening, limiting you to reduced power mode etc had to get breakdown out 3 times to reset (electrical fault I reckon). 3. All 4 wheel hub caps corroded. 4. 3 wheels had corrosion bubbling under the paint. (New wheels due under warranty) 5. Everytime it rained reasonably heavily, the alarm would go off multiple times even on reduced sensitivity. 6. Driving along the motorway and the drivers display just went totally blank (Only happened once). Obviously electrical issue. 7. Corrosion spotted on boot lip seam. 8. New pads and discs needed at 10k miles! Discs replaced under warranty, Obviously a manufacturing defect. A quick check of mot history showing it needed another new set at around 30k! That's all I can remember for now. Most beautiful, superb driving car I've ever had, but equally frustrating. In so many ways a wonderful car, I just had a bad one I think. Good luck.

@@Nick-vp7lp You're joking?! I had been eyeing up the RC200t for the better performance over the 300h but they seem to be in very short supply. I have looked at the odd RCF as the servicing costs over the 200t/300h aren't as big of a step up as I imagined and tyres etc are not much more than my current car. There was a beautiful 2015 metallic red with cream leather for sale recently for a reasonable price but it's gone. Most advertised have the carbon bonnet which I'm not all that keen on. What was your experience with the RCF? Any unexpected bills/issues?
@Nakke1443 жыл бұрын
The only issue i have with these is that they only come with a manual in QF or diesel form. The diesel is a no-no for me as we have yearly diesel tax on top of normal road tax in Finland, and it's a grand a year for a giulia diesel. The QF is lovely, but our crazy car tax means its almost 200k new, so that's out of the question too. That leaves the smaller engined petrol models, but they are only available as automatics.

I just sold my 17 plate diesel "Speciale" spec car, an electrical issue that stopped the engine, this in turn brought up every fault light on the dash, when the light show was done the car would start but the check engine light stayed on. Eventually took it to the Alfa dealer it came from, they reckon it was a relay that feeds the ECU. They fixed it, didn't fit a new relay though, after that I just had no faith in the car after two incidents that resulted in near misses. The car turned in 45mpg average over the period I had it, no rattles or squeeks from anywhere, they need using. Cam belt needs sorting at 60k miles, it's an Alfa only part.

@@ItaliaAutos Alfa clearly continue to use crap steel. Brera subframes rot totally out. My pal has a scruffy worthless 2001 Saab 9.3 convertible. I helped him fit a clutch and the subframe had to be pulled. Save a bit of surface rust the thing was 100% solid everywhere. The Alfa a disaster. Looking at those straps on the Giulia illustrates that the thing is going one way. The body itself will last like an Alfa 156 or Mito. But the rot will attack everything else underneath. I've looked at VW's, Renaults, BMW's and Toyota's. They are nothing like this Alfa. The only plus to celebrate here is that if this was say a 1978 Sud it would have been scrapped or welded to death after 5 odd years.
