Thank you very much. The reviews on Amazon were kinda short, but since the Canon one is sold out everywhere, this one will do great.

Canon adapters are still on backorder so I’ve been using this with no issues on my R6.

Awsome video. Would you happen to know if it the adapter could work on RD lenses? Or just EF?
@1KINDPhotography3 жыл бұрын
The adapter is ONLY for EF lenses. RF lenses do not require adapters on R series cameras

With this Meike version, does image stabilization work for canon EF lenses that don’t have IS? Also does it have better image stabilization with a canon lens that has IS?
@1KINDPhotography2 жыл бұрын
This does not provide IS for non-IS lenses.
@linkinjunior2 жыл бұрын
@@1KINDPhotography so the official canon adapter and the MK-EFTR-B will? Thanks for your help btw.
@1KINDPhotography2 жыл бұрын
@@linkinjunior official Canon adapter does not have IS either. The adapter is basically just that, it allows you to adapt EF lenses to your R mirrorless cameras. IS is on the actual lens or on the body. If there is no IS on the lens, there's no IS. You can't magically add IS.

@@1KINDPhotography okay, let me rephrase the question, since the r7 has IBIS, does IBIS become limited or work as usual when adapting a canon EF non IS lens? Thank you for your help, much appreciated.

@@linkinjunior in-body IS on the camera will work as normal

Hi! I'm using Canon r100 paired with the meike ef-eos r adapter and canon efs 55-250mm stm lens, everything works fine until I change the aperture higher than f5.6, it won't take any picture and shows error "check connection between lens and mount". I don't know what's the problem, anyone can help me? I appreciate. thanks a lot.

higher than f5.6, like f6 or f8 so on

Thanks for the review, I think it will work perfectly with my EOS RP. I recently ordered a bundle with the Canons Adapter, but the adapter is in back order >_< and they don't know when it's going to arrive at their store. It's a good alternative for the money, I should buy this one if I plan to use my EF lenses... (even though I purchased one, but don't know when it will arrive )

Have you found any flaring in the lens using the meike adapter? I am getting strong light falloff when the light source is not directly in view but just milimetres behind the lens edge.. whereas canon has practically none...

Hey, can the adaptor firmware update like the other brands?
@1KINDPhotography3 жыл бұрын
There are no USB port for any firmware updates. Only one I know of that cam do firmware updates is the Viltrox with control ring

@@1KINDPhotography thanks. Do you have any issu using it until now? I am buying eos RP and planning to buy eos r adapter but got myself confused choosing the meike or viltrox? Do you have any suggestion which adapter I should choose?
@1KINDPhotography3 жыл бұрын
@@Aguze25 I have no issues using it. Been using it with my RP and R6. I haven't heard any major issues with the MEIKE. I know the Viltrox had some issues with fitment where there was a little too much play when mounted. I always suggest the MEIKE because its the only one that I know of right now for 3rd parties other than OEM Canon that has the gasket.

@@1KINDPhotography thanks again, I think I'll go with the Meike.
@angelajenkinson21943 жыл бұрын
is there any play from lens to mount?
@1KINDPhotography3 жыл бұрын
No play in the adapter to camera or adapter to lens. The MEIKE is my preferred adapter. I know some people have reported the Viltrox adapters having a little play and its hit or miss.

Can I ask is it truly weathersealed,I have a shoot in a weeks time and it predicts showers.Just need the reassurance my r6 will be safe.
@1KINDPhotography3 жыл бұрын
The gasket is similar to those found on the lenses. It only seals between the adapter and camera body. I see no issues with the gasket or seal. I've shot in a drizzle and had no issues.
