🥳 Hi everyone - How did you do with the QUIZ at the end? And leave an example sentence with your FAVORITE NEW EXPRESSION in the comments below!
@Ari3870 Жыл бұрын
Hi Jennifer! Thank you! You have a knack for making interesting English lessons! I got 15/15. "Grapple with" and "bring someone up to speed" were new ones for me. Here are some examples: 1) I reckon we should renovate our house. Tell me what's your take on that? 2) I'm not in a position to suggest what you should do next 3) Keep on keeping on, you are on the right track 4) Poverty stems from inequality 5) It's a given that Earth is round 6) When travelling abroad you should take local customs and culture into account 7) Many countries are currently grappling with inflation 8) Many people are short on cash 9) That question is still up in the air 10) I was out of action a few days. Can you bring me up to speed, please? 11) If your life-companion is cruel, aggressive, and/or disloyal, that is a deal-breaker for sure! 12) As for exams many students would be grateful for having a chance to do-over 13) It's so hot! Nice, refreshing drink really comes in handy 14) I imagine studying German or Polish is not a breeze at all! 15) You are spot on! I second that!

First of all I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this dynamic and incredibly useful lesson. I've learned a ton of new phases that l can't wait to use them in my conversations. Here is my examples. 1-My plans for this summer are actually just up in the air l haven't decided where to travel. 2-l was a bit under the weather yesterday so l couldn't come to class so can you bring me up to speed? 3-The best way in which you can learn any language in the world is by immersoing yourself in that language it could be by listening to podcasts, watching movies and TV shows. That's a given. 4-Unfortunately everyone did pretty poorly on the exam yesterday so the professor decided to give us a do-over. 5-We haven been grappling with financial problems recently. 6-My colleague asked my take on putting off the meeting? 7-My depression stem from the gloomy weather during the Winter. 8-Your essay was a spot on! 9-A: I've been recently studying English by listening to podcasts. B: You're on the right track listening to podcasts can a blast. 9-Are we in a position to move to a new apartment? 10-I can't go on vacation to France this summer because l'm short on cash. Thanks again 🤍🌹

I got 15/15 ! thanks for teaching My take on that is to delay the meeting. I'm not in a position to decide. Don't give up yet! You are on the right track. His illness stems from his lack of sleep. If you want to get fit, you have to work out every day. That's a given. You need to take the inflation rate into account. We are grappling with the gas price. We have to get our heads down. We are short of time. My future plans are still up in the air. She brought me up to speed when I came back from vacation. His last words were a deal-breaker. My boss gave me a do-over. I really appreciated it. Learning how to drive is going to come in handy. Learning English is a breeze. The instruction was spot on.
