You HAVE to do this before you plant!!- Food Plot preparation.

Hey everyone! In this video I show you how I spray my food plots and kill the vegetation prior to tilling and planting. I have had a lot of success using this method over the years. I’m using 41% glyphosate and a surfactant (Links Below). It will for sure do the trick. Check back for future episodes as we prepare for deer season 2023!

Add 24D to provide a better kill on broad leaf weeds. Glyphosate alone will struggle with broad leaf

Hey, even though I have done this same thing dozens of times I still like to see how other people are doing it. Little tricks can help. I use my HuntStand app while I’m spraying to see where I have sprayed, it can get confusing when you’re driving in a field that doesn’t leave any marks or tire tracks.

What is your recommendation on preparing for food plots if your property is 3-4 hours away and you have a limited number of times you can go and prep? Mowing? Spraying, discing?

I would mow then spray the first day wait a week and then disc and seed the next trip. When you disc and seed try and time it right before a rain.
