You Haven’t seen a Recip Saw Test like this! Flex 24 volt Vs Metabo Hpt 36 volt

Reciprocating saw versus video. The flex 24 volt brushless reciprocating saw Vs the metabo hpt 36 volt. Extreme testing. We cut through the hardest material. Pressure treated 6x6 and 4x4 post’s. LVL ( laminated veneered lumber ). 2x6 with 1/2 inch rebar and 16 penny nails. We cut through 1/4 inch angle iron and concrete cinder block as well. The blades used are the metabo hpt 9 inch general purpose, the flex 9 inch nail embedded wood, the Milwaukee ax carbide pruning blade, the Milwaukee wrecker carbide blade, and some 6 inch masonry blades with aggressive tooth patterns. You don’t want to miss this! Batteries used are the metabo hpt 2.5 and 4 ah and the flex 2.5, 5, and 10 ah stacked lithium for comparison. We push these saws to the edge. That Metabo HPT is a monster. It didn't do that well in masonry but most people I've met doesn't use their recip saws for that purpose. I don't have a masonry blade on mine either but may get one in the future to see how it goes, though. PS. great work right there, keep it up

Metabo Recip is a monster I know one of the reps in my area personally, did a fence for him actually and he let us try out some Metabo tools over our Milwaukee trailer, I was impressed but honestly came down to warranty when I decided to upgrade to a newer brand and Flex has the best warranty atm out of all the brands considered.

Yes sir, that metabo Hpt is fast. No matter what blades on it. I think it hit a dense spot in the cinder block masonry test. That’s why the cut took so long. That’s why I ran it twice and on the second attempt it was right behind the Flex. I actually prefer the feel and using the Flex over the Metabo. I was expecting the Flex to be this huge heavy recip saw and it’s not. It weighs a little more for sure but the grip is more my style and the shape of the tool is more to my liking

@@baseballdude8491 I hear you man. A lot of people associate cheaper price to cheaper quality. You know as well as I do that’s nowhere near the case with Metabo Hpt. When I got my recip saw, the rear handle saw, the 4Ah battery and charger for $225 from Toolbarn, I told myself this had to be a glitch. That they wouldn’t honor the price. It was a Father’s Day deal. Not going to find that from any company, on the quality of the tools and battery you get. 👍

The first cuts I’m using the blade that came with the saws buddy. Why should I buy a recip saw then go out and by “SPECIAL BLADES” to improve its performance? The metabo hpt all around is faster than the Flex in most applications. This isn’t exact science man. I get where your coming from but I used the blades that come with the saws for the first few cuts. I actually prefer the Flex more to be honest. Much more compact feeling compared to the hpt

@@IMPACT-NATION You should consider getting the XGT gen2(the one with orbital). It's still pretty expensive, but it might be more powerful than the Hitachi. It's the GRJ02M1. It should be available in the US by now.

That’s a tough one man. They are both smooth in linear. Different feel for different tests. Like on the cinder block, the flex blew right through barely any vibration. I’d say the Flex man. All around. The metabo is the fastest in general but I prefer the flex for the compact design and ergonomic feel. They are both great though. To answer your question from Instagram man, I’d say the flex rear handle with the 10Ah stacked lithium is faster than the flexvolt but it’s close

Ricky Perkins, NO metabo didn't whooped Flex's ass. It's actually a biased side by side comparison. Just I always expected on most tool reviewers who does favor their favorite brand over the competitors. And the metabo recipe saw I wonder what kind of blade is it using?? 🤔 Is it Milwaukee or a better brand that have Carbide tips on em'? VERSUS the standard blade that comes with the tool on the Flex. Just to give you a little bit of perspective, Tungsten Carbide tipped blades are always faster than the Bi Metal standard blades. IF the Reviewer put a Diablo or Milwaukee Carbides tipped Recip saw blade on both tools you'll the big difference the Flex will destroy the Metabo. But as far as the biased review goes we'll see the Unfair comparison as always. Biased.

The white blade on the metabo hpt is the standard blade that comes with the saw in the box new. Towards the middle of the video I used a Milwaukee Axe carbide on both saws. Then a Milwaukee Wrecker Carbide on both saws. Then the same Masonry blade on both saws🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤔🤔🤔🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

The Hpt is a great recip saw man. The 4 speed settings is a great feature for cutting different materials. I love mine. Yes I like Flex man but it’s just my preference. I own a lot of different brands and enjoy them as well but you don’t want to compare power to power man when it comes to Flex vs HPT😎.
