This is hysterical as it is so true. What's funny is when my daughters were very little they asked me when they would know they were an adult. My reply was, "when you WANT to take a nap". They still talk about that and say how true it is today.

Newly wed husband and I look forward to new clean sheet days, lost our minds over a brand new washing machine that held more loads, and I cheered like a school girl when I got home from work and saw that my husband washed the dishes without being asked! So true! 😆 you know you're an adult when you can't wait to go pull weeds out of your garden and flower beds, and spending the rest of the day cleaning your yard and planting more stuff to take care of, because at the end of the day it's so beautiful and satisfying. Who cares if your back, knees and rest of your body hurts, at least you'll be sleeping like a baby that night. I mean, what a workout, definitely achieved something. Right.😁

Yes...I was so excited in early pandemic when my vacuum cleaner died and I bought a new one...to see the difference a new vacuum made was incredible! Also clean sheet day is amazing. With organization comes labeling all the boxes, my family mocks me that all my 3 year old's toys have labeled totes... Coming from Wegmans homeland I cannot say that a new store opening is that exciting here, but to see the joy it brings other cities warms my heart.

My young adult children (who live at home) bought me a vacuum cleaner for Christmas. I was so happy that I actually cried. They brought me so much happiness and they knew exactly what I wanted/needed. However it was pointed out that they could buy the vacuum and I would be happy but if my husband had bought me the vacuum, that would not have been a good thing.

And I can relate to all the cleaning stuff. I like to pause and admire my handiwork (in the split second before the dogs breathe and more hair falls to the floor) My faves were the pothole story and the last thing about clean sheets... I was--legit--*giddy" after a pothole by our house was fixed like 💥BOOM!💥 only days after I mentioned it (to a friend I found worked for the city). And clean sheets?? Aaahhhh! They're even better if you shower and shave your legs right before going to bed... 😌😆

I love you guys… I could relate to this video!! It made my whole day. We are in the same stage. Also I met to tell you guys along time ago congratulations on winning the Amazing Race!!! The last episode all of my 6 kids (ages 9 up 18) and my husband watch it all together. I have told them all about you guys before this but they wanted to see who wins with me. Needless to say we had not seen The Amazing race before until you guys said you were going to be on. I was stressing all the way through the show . Let’s just put it this way when you guys ran across the line I couldn’t hold the tears back my family was so excited for you then they looked at me and said mom are you crying. We don't have any Target stores near us. I'm not sure if there are any left in Canada at all, maybe in Ontario, but I'd have to double check that. Heck we don't even have a Giant Tiger (Canadian equivalent) close by, which is a bummer. The closest one (Giant Tiger not Target) is just over an hour away; we do have a Wal-Mart and Hart Store though, so that's progress. LOL! :D

At age 56, I finally came clean with myself. It was actually really freeing. I admitted to ME that I dislike housework and I abhor doing laundry (and it show, I'm afraid). I do it regularly as I always have. But I really have better things to do with my time. ADHD does not help with this at all. However--I still get excited about new appliances (got a new dishwasher a month ago and OMG!!!! It's the best ever). And I do love it when I find a mop or broom that does the job I need it to do.

I felt so much of this!! I get excited over a new vacuum or organizers. I would not be offended if I got a new vacuum for Christmas. I would be excited, lol. I love cleaning out closets and getting them organized. When I was a kid, cleaning was a bad word for me lol. Now it’s music to my ears. Not having to wait in line at a store is great too. I live about 3 hours from the container store. But when I get to go, I don’t ever want to leave. That and IKEA. My 2 favorite stores!! It’s the little things now that get me excited.

I'm so glad I'm not alone. I actually once took three days off work for my birthday and stayed home just to organize and get rid of stuff. My friends looked at me like I was nuts when I told them how happy it made me lol. Best birthday gift I ever gave myself!
