Started watching you during COVID, I've read your book I've bought your game, listen to your podcast followed you religiously on the amazing race.... I loved this! I set resolutions for myself and encourage my kids. My husband's doesn't believe in them. 🤷‍♀️ This year one of mine is to dead lift 200lbs. I'm at 175 right now, but if I work hard I am pretty sure I can get there by the end of the year. I also am taking a photography class to learn how to take better pictures.

I am a 50 years young woman that refuses to make resolutions. I stopped doing that a long time ago and just decided to do better today that I did the day before because really New Years day is just another day on the calendar. You are only a day older that you were the day before. It's not that serious people. I'm glad they found a way to laugh at themselves as they realize just how rediculous we can sometimes be.

Love this video. It just made me happy. You two are so talented. January is just not a good time to make resolutions for me. I”m still recovering from the holiday stress. Instead I make my resolution on my birthday in Feb. My one resolution is always the same: To be a little healthier than the year before. If I’m healthier then I figure I can do all the other stuff I want to change. Just changing a few eating habits step by step, I’ve lost 70 lbs in 4 years. Pretty good for this ol’ lady in her 60s. 😁

My goals this year are to read through the Bible, do a 30-day yoga challenge that I hopefully continue throughout the year and maintain a skincare regiment. I need to add drinking more water. Hopefully I'll get some pickle ball in too. :)

Very funny. 😂 Reflecting on what you want at this time of year isn't about changing your personality it's about living intentionally and being intentional about your goals including who/what you want to be and why, figuring out what you need to do to get there and then doing that and tracking your progress, etc etc. Just basic goal setting and achieving. It's a natural thing to think about at the start of another year and after the busyness and indulgences of the holidays. I mean Halloween candy, thanksgiving feast and leftovers and the whole Christmas season of food and treats.

I don't do resolutions either, but I set attainable goals - 2021 - do 500 miles in designated walks (not counting steps). In 2022do 500 walking and 500 bike riding. I attained each of these. This year. 2023 combined in any way total miles - biking and riding. I KNOW it's because I track them and told people about them that I stay accountable. They aren't huge goals, but they it definitely made me do more than I would have done without the goals. Now, the whole part of the "be more vulnerable and sharing". Wow... I've been married (happily) for 29 years and as bright and loving as my partner is, he simply does NOT share his deep thoughts or worries. He listens to mine, but it's never an exchange. I NEED that, but it's also something I can't change about him as much as I wish I could.

My #1 resolution that I ever made was that as soon as an ad comes on the radio (written by people who make SO much money to do it) telling me I need botox or liposuction, or a tanning bed or gym membership, or my freckles zapped off, any of it - I change the station. It's done absolute wonder for my mental health.

I actually have a goal for this year. Might as well try if I do have 5yrs left. So I've been studying my art books. Apparently one is from England, so it literally says how much a certain supply item costs in pence 🤔, the other is by an author from England, so a word he uses doesn't mean the same in how we use it, lol. My goals this year, get some paintings made, and decrease my fear that people will steal my art, like actually steal it and leave, to sell at flea market or resale. I've had art stolen before, even when I let my guard down thinking no one would do it, yet again. And my youngest has the art genetics in him too. So I want to learn how to protect my art and his future art, because we both have anxiety issues. Mine got to the point where I'll never draw again. I've drawn 3 things in the past 3 months. 1 new drawing per month sounds easy, but that's an increase in my progress. It's like I've been living in a cave and I'm hunting to find where the good people are at, so I don't get hurt again.

Being a Widow for 6 yrs, now, who had the most amazing husband and Dad to share 32.5 yrs of my live, this video is priceless, and made me laugh to my core. I decided to work on writing down things that I have done every day to track the stuff other than go to work and keep the house and kids working. so my min is what is the weather but also tracking art made, books read, exercise and gardening. the goal is to be able to have one place to say OH yeah I did do all this other stuff for me when I feel like I am tired or burnt on life. I am using a calendar not to plan but to remember ... it is not a journal but a calendar of what I have done not what I am going to do.
