On the humor part: Belgians are very well versed in most types of humor, dark and grim is not a default for all of them. I'd say most of it is a decent or good portrait of the Belgian woman, beyond and despite their lingual and cultural divide.

I'm agreing with Jarett on this. Mostly accurate on being down to earth, dark sense of humor etc. Only thing I would notice (as a bilingual Belgian) is that the video portrays rather french speaking Belgian women. Flemish women might still prefer the 'classic' dates with the typical stuff still and are slightly less spontanious (though as much enjoyable ofcourse). Also I would add that (french speaking) Belgian women are really go with the flow, like you'd get quite some time before having to decide wether or not something is to be something serious or not. Quite universal when it comes to not behaving like a macho. If you're funny or clever that's much more appreciated here :)

loved this video! I had been waiting for the belgium videos as a belgian girl myself. Most seem quite accurate :D In general first dates are relaxed. I do dress a bit up for the first date, it shows your intrest (imo). only the humor part really depends from person to person. I haven't met many people with dark humor.

Am Belgian, can confirm that on average all of these are pretty bang on (such sad looking fries and ketchup by default? the horror! :'). There's a very distinct difference between people from Wallonia and Flanders, though, that would've been interesting to highlight; those from the Flemish side are in general a bit more reserved and are often more internationally-minded, while the Walloon side takes a lot more cues from French culture (including dubbing all their stuff in French, which is part of the reason those from Wallonia have a significantly lower rate of multilingualism than people from Flanders).

Ah you finally did a Belgian one…great! The dark sense of humour, authenticity, and frites + sauce (samouraï, baby!) bits were bang on; I am not so sure about the spontaneity, though! And you may need to do separate ones about the French-speaking, Dutch-speaking, and even German-speaking communities given the diversity of the country. I say all of this as a Canadian living in Belgium for a long time…your Canadian ones were bang on BTW, for better (Québécoises) or for worse (Anglo men and women) One last thing: no way a Belgian would leave his/her bike unlocked…would get stolen in a heartbeat, at least in Brussels!

For the things mentioned, not so much I would say. Wallonie is a little more laid-back compared to both Flanders and Brussels, where they also speak French, but that would be on character for them as well. On the other hand, Cycling culture is stronger in the Flanders and they included it.
