Jonathan Hubbard-Shaw you are right. We are similar to German women on that aspect, according to the DBB. I think it can be explained by the way we are raised. We are not brought up to be little princesses. We can study what ever we want, and there is no specific role to play for women in our society. We cannot dépend on men to provide for us. Of course, you will find some princesses around here too🙂
@nordichellas3155

@@CathPo Most French Canadian women aren't independent at all. They believe they should have no gender roles, but that men have to follow the most strict gender norms possible. One of these gender roles is they're supposed to make more money than the woman and need to carry the relationship. One of many reasons Ill never be with a Canadian woman Anglo or French again.

Is that they are very sociable BUT they are too much internet life compared to latinos or european immigrant For example, she can totaly like you but wont give her phone number simply ecause you are stranger in the street/ or think its sluty low to give phone number to someone in the street. But giviing phone number on tinder is normal😄 While with latinas. Europeans. Aarraabs. If they like you. A friend of mine who is Quebecer just told he will never date a Quebecer woman again in his life. Living in QC since 2018. Never seen a video about QC girls and dating that far from reality. I suggest every guy to go there and to experience how wrong theses clichés are. In the first place, good luck to meet any QC girl if you are not in her social circle. Then, good luck she will not feel awkward about YOUR first move. Last, if you are waiting for their moves, you can keep waiting. Not mentioning how flaky and unreliable those girls are. Although, I am considered very attractive there, I have been approached 3 times in 4 and a half years, only by wasted girls. I repeat, go there and see by yourself. You will be.... surprised.
@drwizzy199

I concur with what you said. Happens in Montreal. Maybe the part about the ladies making the approach happens in the inner parts of Quebec or in the social scenes.

@@inconnu4961 Yes, that's what I am implying. The video says french Canadian women have no problem making the first approach. Have never experienced this myself. Maybe that happens in social circles just like in the video. Doesn't happen in the streets or bars.

I don’t know why in the “dating an Anglo-Canadian woman” video people were commenting on how feminist the women are, but here they don’t mention anything about feminism. Québécoise women are actually very outgoing and strong-minded. They’re not traditional passive housewives at all. I have no problem with a woman being a feminist, as long as she doesn’t cherry pick and only want equality when it benefits her. For example, “I’m a strong, independent woman, but men should always pay for my restaurant meals.”
@projectatlas4400
@projectatlas4400 2 жыл бұрын
The opening scenarios might have set the tone. The Quebec woman is portrayed taking action and approaches the guy who's obviously interested in her while the Anglo Canadian one almost tries to avoid him. And no offense intended towards the Anglo Canadian actress, but her character is shown to complaining about gender stereotypes, where the Quebec character simply acts in a way that doesn't conform to them.

A woman that doesn't fuss about doing the first move is a huge plus for me. Being one of the boys probably, depends on context really haha. Third point is rather welcomed, I have no problem with a woman that manages to entertain herself and doesn't cause drama. Rather another plus. Being a huge foodie is not so much a problem, I like tasting new and good things myself so it could end up being fun actually. Franlish is no real problem, just teach me. religious swearing, no idea why I would object to that.

Being from Quebec myself, this is very funny! After watching the guy version, even tho it's humour and exaggeration, it actually makes me realize that some stereotypes can actually be true. Since I never lived as a "non-quebecoise", I never realized some of these and it really was an interesting introspection. And, I don't know if the actors are from Quebec or not but if not, the accents are very good. Great job!

@Captain Brandon Horror Film Lover it's hard to speak for a whole population since I am only 1 women among many in Canada. I mean, as long as you are bein nice to them, the other things depend on the person you want to flirt with. Dressing nice without over dressing & trying to speak the language of the country are appreciate in lots of countries, so of course it would include Quebec. It's up to you to try it! ^^

@nozecone
@nozecone 4 жыл бұрын
@Captain Brandon Horror Film Lover There's nothing wrong with the flirting - it's just a cultural thing to be aware of, so you don't think every teenage girl working the cash in her father's gas station has fallen in love with you the moment you walk in. It's just basic manners in Quebec. Just adjust your head a little and enjoy it for what it is. Like all this other stuff everybody is spouting off about - it's all superficial, at best. But as for the rest of what you're saying - man, you've got a pretty f'd-up way of thinking about women. Self-reflection recommended.
