the wood instrument is a Koto it was first made in the 16th century. they sound really good if played by someone who has had alot of playing experience and practice

One more thing brother, I was going to tell you on stuffed animals and stuff that are older you can check them for lumps. LOL, I guess the older folks used to hide their valuable items inside the stuffed animals, they actually sew them in. I watched a show where they were going to demolish an old house, and it had like 50 or so old stuffies in it, and they started searching them for signs like lumps to find valuables, they found some seriously valuable stuff, and one really, really expensive pearl necklace. Just another feather in your cap for keeping an eye out for that kind of thing. :)

So envious of the Barbie tote and the Tomy wind-ups. Most of the dolls look to be 80s. The outfits and accessories are probably more valuable than the dolls themselves, but all together, they'd make a heck of an ebay lot. The cardboard backdrop may fetch $10 or so, by itself, since paper parts are usually the first to get destroyed.

Those little Things with the Carussell need to go in to those slides on the Carussell ...you put little candles in them and light them and the Heat makes the whole Thing turn around. I have a X-mas one and as it goes around it plays X-mas Songs.

I got my first "Xavier Cabbage Patch Doll" (signed on their bottom) about 37 years ago to date at the Roses Department Store in Camden, SC... Yes, I got one of the first ones out and stood in line Forever! I think I had accumulated about 6 of the authentic CP dolls before we downsized in 2012! . FYI, The CP type in this vid looks to me to be a homemade doll from a kit. Not sure if there's any value there or not.

Finding a cabbage patch doll was awesome but also finding a cricket doll as well with all the extras well thats one heck of a batting average on top of so many thing's you find that are worth so much it's what keeps me glued to your video's and wanting too see more . TOMY toys Carson California 1977. I used to live about a mile from the factory, we used to scavenge in their dumpsters and find plenty of decent toys, my fave was Digital Derby. Years later it would be my first place of employment.

Mike, what you have there is a Dan Tranh, a Vietnamese Zither Dan Tranh began to take shape in the Vietnamese traditional music instruments orchestras in the 11th century. In the late 13th and early 14th centuries, Dan Tranh had only fourteen strings so it was called “14-string zither”, but then by the late 1980s, Dan Tranh with 17 strings appeared, so it changed the name into “ 17-string zither” and become the standard version of this instrument. Larger zither with 22, 24 and 25 strings have also been made in the 1980s and 1990s. Dan Tranh is a plucked zither of Vietnam, which has a curved shape. The soundbox consists of a curved top plate, a flat bottom plate, and six side-pieces. From the axis to the position connecting strings, there are some movable bridges. The higher their position, the smaller their size is. The strings are made of steel and have varying diameters. They are tuned to the pentatonic scale. Performers usually wear picks made of metal, plastic, or tortoise-shell to pluck the strings.

My parents used to play with those Fisher Price people when they were kids, then my older siblings did and eventually I did when I was a kid. I still remember those things I used to call them deodorant people because they're shaped like aerosol cans lol

Fisher price museum is in western NY. It was the home of the company.😊 not weeble wobbles they were smaller and egg shaped. I think Fisher Price started making their little people bigger when too many kids were ingesting the people and choked on them. All very collectible now!

3 boys not a lot. My parents had 15 kids. At least 6 or 7 young enough for gifts. We had big messes at Easter and Christmas. It was great growing up in a big family.

I certainly do. Actually here at my apartment we donate things by simply leaving them beside the dumpster. I just found a bunch of big framed prints, vacuum cleaner, TV & DVD player. Sunday night i helped pick 2 lawnmowers, 3 weedwhackers, some kind of heavy converter a couple of crap kids bikes & so on. That was one house too.

That instrument is called a koto. It is a traditional Japanese instrument and very beautiful when played well. I once dropped one on stage at a concert I was working and somehow kept my job. Not my proudest moment.

Not just Star Trek, there are movies that for whatever reason (legal) have not been moved to DVD. I have a dual player and I still buy both. Sometimes I find it cheaper (fixed income) to purchase VHS vs DVD or I can only find what I want in VHS (early animation)..

I think there are dates on the dolls- and you can look up where they were made w/ that and figure out the rarity. Tuckerupper had to figure this all out several weeks back.
