My husband gleans apples from a friends orchard each year, with permission, he dehydrates them with a candy type sprinkle on top. I'll definitely save your recipes to make dessert using fresh picked apples too. I like the puff pastry idea. God bless you and your family. Hugs from northern California.

It's not just the seeds that are a problem. The seed sacks or "the star" as you called it is as bad as popcorn shells. They're hard, unchewable, and always get stuck in your teeth. It's always worth it to remove the star.

That last 1 is the 1st time I've seen anyone else make it I tried it a like 8 years ago on a day my back was killing me and I didn't feel like making a crust for my peach pie so I made a thick pancake batter and put it on top I've also used canned biscuits and rolled them thinner and placed them on top can peaches work best since you can you juice from the can and it soaks in the dough

when I was younger I always loved this show because when I was younger sometimes I had nothing to do so I went on KZbin and watched this it always got me in a good mood I even ordered some of that Sue grue it was cool and I made stuff with it.
