my problem is that im aware of my mistakes, im aware of them. but i keep repeating them and procrastinate, i know i should do something about them but i unconsciously ignore them, im aware of this condition and i don't understand why or how it happens. even tho i see the mistakes, i do nothing about them. and if i want to do something or change something i just can't, and man it's really killing me cuz i literally see them, yet i go to them instead of handling them. all the advices would be appreciated. so please guys anything can help if you understand what im talking about. you can suggest me a book or a video or anything just anything cuz i really just want peace with my mind

You’ve gotten into the habit of not doing what you know you should do and In doing that you’ve lost respect for yourself and that shows in the way you carry yourself. What WE need to do is just do it. I don’t know a better way than to just do it no matter what, it’ll be the toughest thing to do but on the other side is a version of us we can’t even imagine. I’ve made my way to the other side and the only thing I can say is that you feel alive. I’m back on my lazy shit though and I’m trying to get out of the rut now.

I notice I do the same thing. There’s a concept or belief (like handle the problem when you see it) and then there’s the practice of it. I keep expecting myself to do it if I already believe it’s a good thing to do, but knowing is not the same as doing. I’m realizing I can appreciate the awareness, the fact that I notice what’s not working well because that wasn’t always the case. I started tracking certain habits just to see how often I actually do a good habit like make my bed or take a bath instead of a shower because it’s more calming. Then I can see that I do make good choices. And I make them often. The disconnect is real so I am making sure I know that I can trust myself and I have the proof on my index card that I started tracking on. I still feel like a bum, but eventually I’ll remember faster that I’m doing things that help me and things I can be proud of.
