@@benbryan4468 I think the WRU really needs to take a good hard look at themselves and the general state of things related to your national team and then make some really hard choices. Your teams do well in the URC so it's not a player issue, I'd think about maybe contacting someone like Steve Hansen or Jacques Nienaber on a consultancy bases while looking toward permanent appointment. It's really disappointing to see an NH powerhouse struggle like this.

Portugal playing a friendly match in a stadium with 60.000 people is just so great. We are now 16 because of a idiotic home defeat against USA. I'm actually not very optimistic with this head coach, Lagisquet was on another level.

Why is it that refs/ TMO's always favour the higher ranked team? Ireland Vs Argentina for instance.

*Home team.

Its amazing how quickly a view on a team can shift, Ireland won the 6 nations, went to SA and won a game down there, after a heart break world cup, then we lose to New Zealand and scrapped a win against a very good Argentina side and all of a sudden we're rubbish on the way out. And our media has been the worst offenders of this narrative, they're even attacking Jack Crowley, like came your tits.
@hugomarx13243 сағат бұрын
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Argentina won against Ireland but the ref decided to give it to Ireland.

The population of Wales is just over 3 milliom, basically a city - The smallest population pool of all the top tier teams. This has to be a factor.
@DabDabGoose3 сағат бұрын
NZ is only a couple of mil more, there is probably some factor in it but not the complete limiter.
@stevebinning9773 сағат бұрын
The population of New Zealand is 5.2 million, and Ireland is about the same. Also, Wales has been a major force in world rugby in the past, so I'm not sure this argument stands up.

Pumas were robbed against the Irish. At least 4 penalties overlooked in that last play. Also robbed of an early try by Moroni. Clear try. Nothing wrong. No need to go back 100m to cancel the try for something minimum. Ridiculous decision. Not even a penalty. Also Argentina should've got a penalty try just before the break. Awful ref. 😤

I was disappointed with the officiating in the Ireland/Puma game. I felt the Argies were humiliated by an incompetent referee who made it all about himself.

Ah you win some you lose some. Ref did what he could. Irish experience won out in the end and they are bleeding in newer players into pivotal positions so will always look a bit rusty.
