Here's a tip for if you play a "scrubby character" and don't want to be called a scrub: Learn saucy combos. It makes your opponent gain respect for you and you demonstrate that you do in fact have a lot of skill. When I played UI a few months ago (I dropped him because he encouraged my habit of panic mashing) I did the same thing and it worked.

I don’t think Lotus necessarily hates the characters he has a hard time against but rather hates the play style (mashing) that the characters enable the player to do. Like, I play UI Goku on point with a dbs broly c assist but you best believe I roll my eyes every time I see another UI Goku player or c assist user because my first thought is that they only mash. You should feel comfortable playing any character on the roster especially with where the game is at rn. Everyone is strong, balanced meta, no broken mechanics, have fun with the game 😁👍🏾
