You MUST CRAFT these cards if you're new to Yugioh Master Duel

A video covering several staple/high usage cards which fit in a wide range of decks in Master Duel.
If you're new to Master Duel then you should focus on crafting these cards first as they can easily be added as upgrades to many of the existing structure decks in the game.

Crazy, i was just searching for a video like this last week, and all the hits were from 1-2 years ago. Nobody made a video like this in AGES so THANK YOU. I see someone commented about missing cards. Might I suggest making a part-2 to this video, or something like an intermediate players crafting guide? It would read as “now that you’ve been playing for a little, here are some slightly more advanced or situational staple cards to craft.”

Personally, none of the board wipe cards are mandatory to craft. They are really only somewhat worthwhile if your deck has some very important Spells (like Sky Striker) that runs Triple Tactics Thrust as a way to search one of copies, and even then both Raigeki and Lightning Storm aren't particularly good because of float/destruction protection effects on monsters nowadays. A much more versatile board breaking/consistency card is Triple Tactics Talents. Being able to non-target steal a key monster can literally change the tide of the duel in an instant, while helping you play through handtraps going first. Depending on the type of deck, Forbidden Droplet can be incredibly good. As for versatile monsters, I would not recommend a new player crafting Fenrir, Baronne, or Zeus unless their deck needs it. UR points are hard to come by as is, and even though you're showered with gems early on, crafting other common staples like Maxx "C", Ash, Called By and Imperm should be a priority alongside having the core of the deck crafted.

You forgot the most important one. Always build your deck core first before going into these. Specially before getting the 750 10 random master pack ones if you start getting those before your core youll ran out of gems before having a usable deck.

If you buy three copies of the vortex of magic structure deck, you can make a nearly full power dm deck for only 1500 gems. By the time the deck becomes too weak, you should have plenty of gems to get all of these staples and the engine of any deck you want. Other structure decks may also work.

Thanks for the comment! All of these are great cards however I didn't want to overdo the runtime. (I usually aim for around 10-15 minutes). Crossout is great but I wouldn't prioritise it as you need to have copies of the card you wish to negate. You can't negate an Ash Blossom with Crossout if you haven't yet obtained Ash Blossom yourself. I was very close to mentioning the link monsters you stated above however they need to be played as part of a combo to be good. Triple Tactics Talent I feel is very format dependent, I end up bricking on it a lot at the moment. As for Nibiru, I probably should have mentioned this card. But a drawback that might impact beginners is that you're giving your opponent a high statline token which could be a doubleedge if you don't have the means to remove it. It also requires players to have a good understanding of the opponents archetype to know when to activate it. Nibiru is actually one of my personal favourite cards as it's so satisfying when you get full value from it.

@OvercastYGO I see, I understand not wanting to make the video too long, but there were some rare picks (bagooska??). It's not that important though. The main thing I would suggest is to keep in mind who your audience is. For this video in particular, you are talking to begginers, so you don't really need to get into the specifics of every card. Just say, "Ash blossom negates effects that move a cards from the deck" or "infinite impermanence can be activated from the hand and negates a monster's effect." You probably don't need to use words such as cost or once per turn. Just give begginers a general idea. I would also recommend a tier list of some sort so as to indicate which cards should be crafted first. Stating which cards could be purchased in bundles was good. I'm not implying you should make the video again, I think the editing was good, and I liked your narration. It's just that I think you made a video for the wrong audience. New players shouldn't be bombarded with information, you should slowly submerge them in this world. Also, yugioh doesn't even have that many new players lol. You are probably better off making other types of videos (if you only care about views, which doesn't seem to be the case, but I'm just saying). You have potential man, keep up the good work.

@@FaustoOriginal Thank you, I value your feedback. I quite like Bagooska and I think it's a card that is quite easy for beginners to get strong value from. It does have a decent usage rate, around 20% according to Master Duel Meta.

For me its always depent on what your starter deck. You can always start with what good staple on yoyr starting deck. It will save your time colecting more staple over time

Starter deck no longer matters with the Swordsoul Structure being free with code entries on both sides giving 2 Chixiao, 2 Chengying and 1 Qixing Longyuan after 2 bum accs enter the new/returnee's code + entering any 1 other person's code. Supplement with N/R Tenyis + solo mode staples and your deck core is all but solved out of the gate. And from gleaning every piece of text in the campaign description, it looks to be a permanent fixture for the rest of MD's lifespan, though that can always change.

Thanks. I tried your chain burn deck and I reached plat 5 with it so far since the reset. I am not sure if it's still viable in higher ranks or should I change it to a more meta deck

@@Zephyrcs2 I reached Master 5 with it but that was during December when Kashtira was the most played deck. It could probably still reach masters but would take a lot more grinding. Remember climbing ranks is always harder at the start of the month. Someone who was Diamond 1 on 28th February will be Platinum 5 on 1st March.

I haven't spent any money on the game at all and peaked at Master 4. It's possible to build a strong deck, it just takes a while to grind the currency. Make use of the events that give out 3000+ gems in rewards.

@@nimrod789 why are players making multiple accounts just to experience a different expensive decks? If you’re not in master rank 1, you’re wasting you time with your budget friendly deck. People like you are the reason konami will always scam players in the west. Pokemon tcg live is very very f2p. Master duel is not.
