I used to belong to a church that was teaching and preaching the word of God. Little by little, they began to allow the latest "Christian fads" into the church. These new fads or movements were supposed to bring us closer to God, and give us a "better" walk with Him. That church ended up splitting apart, and many of us left. I have spent over 20 years "unlearning" much of the bad teaching, and learning how to be still and quiet before God. I am not perfect or a "better" Christian now, but I feel closer, and much more firm in who I believe in then ever before.

The way I see it, you ARE a better Christian for it. God lead you away from the false and misleading doctrine of " inclusivity " of that church, in order that you may not be included in His wrath against the leaders of that church. He saved you up, that you not be brought down as they will surely be, if they do not turn away from the path they have chosen. God bless you and keep you.

Went through a VERY SIMILAR Experience. I was a young Believer and i became so confused because I mean after all. I felt "Well, you have to trust somebody??" Before it was over if you were anywhere near non charismatic barking babbling (All THAT scared a young Believer and then finally the Pastor was let go and the Progressive Charismatic strangeness had taken over...they were using the same term "FULL GOSPEL"

I just left Spiritual abuse after 32 years ! When the people are trying to control God and use Manipulation and narcissist ideas mixed with sensual and grandstanding , telling others they can deliver them from demons or form spiritual warfare declaring things like a pagan , then it's over for the Church !

I remember this two pastor, the other one says "if I will crample this money, is it going to diminish its value?" -He was referring to the Gospel. The other one says, "we don't need to always rely on the old fashion style of preaching the Gospel". Sighs....
