I'm absolutely captivated by this English manor home! The timeless elegance and intricate architectural details are simply stunning. I can't wait to see the lush gardens and luxurious interiors up close. It's amazing how much charm and history this estate holds.

My grandparents owned a large Victorian home. They too had a narrow , twisting back staircase off the kitchen that the servants would have used. There was even a doorbell type button in the kitchen to summon servants to the kitchen. The front staircase was quite elaborate with a window seat and fireplace on the stair landing. It was a wonderful home for suburban grandchildren to visit☺️

The wire in the glass of the French doors to the exterior is a safety feature. It is to prevent someone from breaking the glass and reaching in and accessing the door knob and gaining entry to the home. Sometimes you will see that requirement as part of the building code.

Oh my, what a spectacular home and yard! I love their use of color, art and sculptures. The furniture and lighting are very interesting and eclectic in a good way. The wood kitchen cabinets are beautiful, I hope the island isn’t too large to walk around to make cooking efficient, but I would imagine the far end is the work area. The third floor is every family’s dream space, the bathroom is probably my favourite. Well done and thank you to the gracious homeowners. Linda, I hope you do a garden tour in the future. (I picked the right hat as your favourite 😉)

When I remodeled my kitchen, I also took out the oppressive upper cabinets, added a 6 ft garden window to create a more breathable, bright open space! I also have a wall of pantry cabinets like the homeowner. My “island” is a round counter height table, it’s a really relaxed design ❤

Beautiful Big home of probably a very wealthy family at the time it was built. I ‘m not into the modern, but I loved that vintage piece of furniture that they placed in the dining room.

As a upper midwesterner, what I’m noticing with these charming homes are,the brilliant colors in their art. Here in Minnesota, you would only see bright modern art,in a very modern home, Our older, classic traditional homes, stay more within the era,and lean more European in style. Thanks for the tour!

Thanks to the home owners. This is a beautiful 1916 home! It is not my style of decorating but to each his own. I just believe in embracing a home for the period and style of home for when it was built. I just imagine an English manor totally different and it does not have to be stuffy or uncomfortable to give homage to the home.

I love the beauty and how home is lived by a family interested in art and others. My favorite hat is the one on the bottom. Now I need to look for it. I love the round book table. I thought there was coleus there. Hydrangea, I think? I really like the tours. Today we tried to make our food growing buckets more accessible.

Chicken wire in the glass is close proximity to the lock and door knob. It’s for security… cannot break glass and reach in to turn the knob.
