Very nice!! I would just add a trick I've just learned from Chris from WLPR : the "Autoselect Automation Parameter in Read Mode" from Logic Pro Mix menu. By checking it you can activate the automation of a parameter simply by touching its knob or fader!! No more scrolling and clicking!!! Thank you Chris for your very useful videos! 👍😉

Great detailed instructional video. I learned a lot. I have previously created my own templates. However, you taught some really useful information that I have now incorporated into my templates. I will explore genre specific templates further as well. Thank you.

I really like this approach. It’s a great way to un-annoy your self! Love the stereo pan tip. I should have done that years ago! One thing that I like to do is set a marker 2 bars in and then update the project synchronization settings to start counting at that bar at 00::00:00. I add a second ruler to the view to show time and I start my productions two bars in. Like you said, a template is a journey not a destination and that works for me.

Wonderfully done video with easy to understand explanations. My own template has a ton of virtual instruments, basically everything I own and like to use, and a few muted busses that hold all the FX plugins I like to use. As I create a new piece of music I delete things as I know I won’t use them, but until that point everything I might use is readily available so I don’t have to go searching for anything.

Dude! you ROCK!! Ive wasted months of my life changing that damn pan setting. Ive been wondering if i could set it up to be default Stereo Pan. i gotta get on this default template thing today. I don't even wanna admit how many times I've set up the same damn effect bus over the years.

The very cool teacher again, with a super video. Would be glad to have the possibility to download the template (the most basic one), but of course Chris can‘t do my work. So I‘ll have to setup a template with the help of this video! So far I used 44.1 kHz, but you use 48 kHz. Can anyone hear the difference or is it just because of the videos, filming, …? Anyhow, thanks for this helpful video. 💪🏻👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
@sangstersounds2 ай бұрын
Haha thanks! No I wouldn’t say I can hear an audible difference between 441 and 48 I do it because of my work with video and film scores.

Very cool video! Logic has many "project-related" settings that make a default custom template almost mandatory, like groove files for example, I still haven’t figured out a way to keep an extracted groove after changing a project 🤣

I would love to hear your opinion on vocal presets? i brought so many same as templates.
@sangstersounds15 күн бұрын
For me the biggest thing with vocal mixing is to understand how to apply the processing to each song. As each song is different and presents its own problems to solve. However if you are always mixing your own voice in a specific genre I don’t see anything wrong with having a preset channel strip as a starting point. Just make sure to tweak the settings of the plugins to suite the song.

im working with other musicians online , what if inport tracks with 48khz sample rate into 44kz projects ? i know logic can scale them up or down but is there any downside on this ? beside the downscale to 44 from 48 of course
