On this episode we take a look at two powered USB hubs from INTPW. These hubs are powered by an included power supply taking the strain off your workstation. The first version has ten USB 3.1 Gen 2 data transfer ports rated up to 10 Gbps. The second version has 7 of the same high speed data transfer ports with the remaining 3 being capable of charging your mobile devices including one quick charge enabled port. These devices are great for adding some versatility and ergonomics to your workstation!

I currently use a 90W powered 13-port USB 3.0 hub to connect my various devices and equipment; 1) wired backlit gaming keyboard, 2) wired gaming mouse, 3) wired gaming headset with microphone, 4) external CD/DVD burner, 5) external flash memory multi-card reader, 6) USB-MIDI audio interface, 7) USB-MIDI router, 8) USB 10-channel audio mixer, 9) self-facing camera, 10) look-down-at-table camera, 11) document scanner-copier-laser printer combo (not always on), 12) tor charging (and sometimes data synchronizing) my smartphone, and 13) is open and available for use. I couldn't imagine hooking up all of this to one computer back in the late 1980's and early 1990's, especially trying to troubleshoot, resolve, and manage IRQ conflicts.

I bought a 7-port powered hub. Looked fancy with individual switches, but it was dodgy as. Plugged 3 external hard disk drives (WE Elements SE Portable), and it works. I added more, and it's totally unreliable. It's power adapter says: 1x 5V2A Power Adapter.
