Don't be silly. None of that happened except in your head, maybe. Even air ambulances abide by CAA rules, Every aircraft liase with local aircraft control, its a helicopter, not a kite, and sorry even or especially emergency services "skirt" the rules due to their need. If a no flight zone IS required, it would have been set up.
@_Null_Hypothesis_10 ай бұрын
I do not necessarily agree with all of the CAA's half-thought-out regulations in relation to UAVs but this is just beyond stupid. Purposefully operating within close vicinity of a helipad is the sort of thing that will push the CAA in to adopting stricter regulations and end up ruining things to people who can actually act with a bit of common sense. Incidentally, in my opinion ... this is at the very least, pushing the limits of article 241 of the ANO and would definitely be frowned upon by the CAA.
@125brat10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately it seems those who are allowed to use the airspace with absolute minimum of training, testing or licencing such as small drone pilots or paramotor pilots and similar are cutting their own throats by ignoring existing rules and not exercising common sense. After an incident at my home airfield a couple of years ago involving a paramotor flying through the circuit and causing a near-miss by ignoring the rules for flying in the vicinity of an airfield, I spoke to the CAA and was told they are collating evidence of transgressions (and there's plenty that can be found on here) to support their cases for stricter regulation, pilot licencing etc. Hopefully the harder it is to gain the privilege of using the airspace, the better these people will look after what they've got.

Drone assist is just that an assistant it’s not the law. There are many places that are restricted flying areas that don’t show on drone assist. A heli can fly in any direction at any height very quickly and you could easily damage it 250 grams or not. You don’t even understand the concept of a wind sock. Your drone can still fail and hurt people. Your attitude is unprofessional and dangerous. So sad and a scary example of how other people can copy you and possibly kill others. @@three-phase562 If there is not an NFZ in place then you can fly a drone but obviously use common sense, no laws broken in this case. My small local airport has a NFZ which covers a lot of well photographed landmarks but I can fly my drone if I contact the airport first, again common sense prevails.

They are supposed to inform local area air traffic control"before" they fly, with flightpath Im guessing if they did it would be reported on the app but due to it being an emergency "system" things can get sloppy. And it only gets picked up when things go pare shaped

i think asking for the telephone number was reasnable.. then they have contact with him,, (however my drone does not need my phone)

Man you have been a bit of a prick with this video. Why would you fly near to and interfere with an air ambulance base. If you need to do that. Ask them when they’re operating hours are then go when there not there. Think you missing the point of this audit business. What makes it worse your pilot skills are quite poor and you would not be able to safely return the aircraft and have it secured if they needed to fly or if an incoming airfract needed to land. Very poor skills there.

You would think it would be a no fly zone
@4TheRecord10 ай бұрын
If people keep this up then they will implement a no drone fly zone across the entire country and the only way you'll be able to fly a drone is with prior permission. Doesn't take much to get something like that passed through Parliament, they just need a few more examples of fools like this not using any common sense to make it happen. These idiots will ruin drone and RC flying for everyone.
