I guess I’ll share too. I’m 53 and I grew up watching Mr. Rogers, I love him so much I had to watch him twice a day. He was on in the morning and my mother said I would argue with her about watching the afternoon show in case something different happened 😂. Mr Rogers was one of my mom's favorite shows, because regardless of how shitty of a kid I was being and how much I was bouncing off the wall, Mr Rogers coming on would calm me down like almost nothing else and I would just sit down and be glued to the screen for however long that episode was. The world needs more people like Fred Rogers, Steve Irwin and Carl Sagan. Smart, passionate people who were able to use TV to try and make people the best versions of themselves.

I went through a very tough patch a few years ago. One of the things I realized was how far I was from my first hero other than my dad - Fred Rogers. I realized it wasn't about being exactly like him, but that I'd lost track of keeping my ideals in front of me. I wasn't kind, because I wasn't paying attention to opportunities to be kind. With a lot of help, I've changed that. And I still go back and watch the show to remember. As an adult, I find him even more impressive as a human than I did as a kid. To say I'm glad you did this is a huge understatement.
