You NEED To Do This $10 Mod On Your MK7 GTI! Clutch Stop. If you own a VW you know how long the clutch pedal travel is. This little mod will make it easier and quicker to shift. This shortens the clutch travel and makes it for a better driving experience. For such a cheap mod it is a must do one!

Personally I like the longer clutch travel. Feels easier to drive for me. Drove a veloster and a wrx and the clutch is super short felt weird. Probably just used to the long Vw travel though maybe

Once you remove the delay valve you are going to enjoy the feel overall. It absolutely makes the car feel so much better

Always a complaint on Vw is the clutch travel agreed. Glad you got the car started with the stop fully extended as some people can’t start the car so they take a washer off

Just ordered one for my mk7 R. Website says it doesn’t fit but I highly doubt the hole is a different size than the gti. Thanks for the recommendation!

Sounds good man! Should be the same fit as the pedal assembly isn’t different etc. def makes the car feel much better and shifting and clutch feel greatly improves!

I don’t recommend this product. You just might find your clutch’s TOB/slave failing earlier than expected. Ask me how I know…

You would think getting rid of that extra pedal movement dead zone would be fine to do, but I honestly think it’s not a good idea for this platform specifically because the clutches for this car are just not designed very well. It probably has to do with the VW designing the clutch TOB and slave to be a one-piece design. Just a dumb design IMO because it just creates the part to fail more than often. So the design of the clutch isn’t that great from the start, and I think getting rid of that extra clutch pedal travel (putting the aftermarket clutch stop in there) puts more stress on the TOB/slave, hence making it fail sooner than later. I’ve had two aftermarket clutches fail, and both of them were used with this clutch pedal part. I’m now on a SB STG3 Endurance clutch kit, and I took the clutch stop part off, and I’ve had zero issues, and I drive my car in the city a lot. When I was using the clutch stop, one clutch failed at 40k miles, and the other within 10k miles.
