Hi Anthony, this quote from ifixit explains NVRAM: --- NVRAM stores peripheral data such as volume, display resolution and brightness, startup-disk selection, and time settings. Resetting the NVRAM is a quick, easy, way to troubleshoot a misbehaving Mac-it doesn't delete any data from your storage drive, and it doesn't require any tools or repair experience. --- Except it does require a tool on a Hackintosh ;)

you legend! Installer kept geting stuck arounnd 12% i installed this, clicked reset carried on with the installer crashed again, I was about to give up then out of nowhere i was at the final screens. Few things to fix but looks like its working👌👍

I resssd the nvram and opencore uefi is gone. I can’t even get to the boot loader and when I try to boot off my backup usb with my efi on it it boots straight into windows

Assumimg you installed the efi files right, just put windows at the very bottom of the boot loader in your bios. On my laptop i dont have an option for opencores uefi, but when i slap windows to the bottom of the bootloader i will get booted into opencore automatically.

@@farfromordinaryperson thanks but that comment was a month ago I fixed it now lol had to remake the efi partition for some reason and put back the opencore and windows files in the efi partition

Hi. How do you add the restart and shutdown options at the OC boot menu? Mine is empty and I added from the Tools folder Resetsystem.efi but that's not the option that I want.

I tried several times to install Sonoma on my iMac late 2012. The installation always abort, showing less then 12-13 minutes to install. The screen get suddenly black??? Could this be the solution to reset the NVRAM?

You could try it. To do it on an actual iMac: Press your iMac's power button and then hold these four keys at the same time: ⌘ + option + P + R. Then continue holding the keys until your Mac restarts for the second time.
