ere’s a little small summary i made of the update, by the way most of this info came from the devs in the stage yesterday. ANCIENT ARCHIVES + 4 statues, each require a certain totem + 4 friends need to turn the statues in a certain sequence to open the door + opening the door gives you access to the ancient archives + 6 of the rods craftable in there is early to midgame + 4 are late game i think MEGALODON + catching cutscene + 3 variants of the megalodon NEW TOTEMS + eclipse totem + meteor totem METEOR TOTEM + entire new bestiary for meteors ECLIPSE TOTEM + N/A + probably boosts luck ANCIENT ISLES MAP + fish with amber on them, must be chipped off with cash + entire new map, looks rly cool RODS **Most expensive will be 1MIL+** + 10 new rods + all look cool lol + voyager rod summons a big ass laser as a passive idk why QUALITY OF LIFE + rods planned to be crafted + they are planning to make rods actually interesting to get and not reliant on macros + puzzles for rods and other items + no life rod nerf

6 of the new rods are early to midgame, 2 are lategame and 2 are endgame and better than rotd thats what they said, and u also need 4 pearls that u get from clam shells and u get clam shells from the meteorites for the 4 statues to open the door to craft the rods

Do you think the "Phoenix rod" maybe an upgraded version of the destiny rod? Or the upgrade of the Magma rod? I think the magma rod makes more sense, due to the fact we only have 1 lava fishable area and rod. They could be adding more lava fishing areas. They could add bait crafting, where we could use the fish we caught to make better bait.

Fun fact, if you look at the guy standing at the green totem, I think he is using another new rod if im not mistaken. The guy at the orange totem also has the new rod (The one that was shown in the first clip)

There's another video on this. You actually need "pearls" . Orange , cyan etc. Also you need 4 people to open. The totems are in sequential order to open the door. And inside the door is where you craft the rods. 10 rods total , 2 of the 10 rods are better than the rod of the depths and the no life rod is getting nerfed again *edit You can get the "pearls" by fishing for "shells" and you can also get the "pearls" from summoning the meteor with the totem or just by waiting for a meteor event.

I think that you are going to need enchant relics with different mutations on it and do a mini game in different colored pillars or just give the enchant relics to the pillars but u need 4 people to open and when you go to the anvil it will allow you to upgrade your relic rod for some money or something like the fossils. also that anvil will probably upgrade more than just relic like the destiny rod into the "pheonix rod" and so on.

IDK why people are saying to buy a bunch of relics before the expansion. That makes no sense. You can buy relics when the expansion comes out. FISHING for more relics with new enchantments makes sense in the hope that some of those are used in the expansion. But why would you spend a bunch of money appraising relics before we even know which enchantments are gonna be needed?
