I used the sword of St Trina on my first playthrough to deal with the foreskin duo as i was new to the game and very scared of this fight (and also i was already using a straight sword and was too scared to learn the patterns of a new weapon). Put one to sleep, switch to my other weapon and voila, an easy fight for a someone who never played any from soft's games before. So i'm very pleased to see this weapon on your list and i highly recommend it, sleep is indeed very underrated.

Going through the game the first time I was using the Morning Star as my Strike weapon of choice. Like the Night's Cavalry Flail it has passive bloodloss and can be infused with any Ashes of War. I like to have the Gravity Pull or Hoarfrost Stomp. Also I figured out a little trick with Hoarfrost Stomp. Did you know that if you stomp near a wall the wave will actually hit the floor above you. When I got stuck in the transportation trap from Dragon Burnt Ruins to Calied I was able to kill the Kindreds of Rot on the roofs while still in the shack. I also used that trick with those Archers in the Halige Tree Evergoal. First I knocked them onto the side balconies and then Hoarfrost Stomped them to death. Also I wanted to use the Night's Cavalry Flail instead of the Morning Star but it was too heavy for most of my playthrough.

Still feel like I don't hear enough about the Halo Scythe. It's Ash of War is one of THE best projectiles in the game, full stop. And it has a very low FP cost. It gets less effective as everything starts resisting holy damage, but for real, spec for that thing and give the necessary buffs, and try it out again Mogh. You will trivialize him just by pressing L2. And he isn't even weak to holy.

Envoy Long Horn. Absolutely preposterous damage against any large enemies (dragons, gargoyles, Mohg, death birds, Elden Beast) with the Bubble Shower skill, it literally just deletes them b/c of its practically guaranteed stun. I'd almost recommend not using it until you've hit a brick wall against those enemies b/c it's hard to say you're even playing the game when you oneshot Placidusax in 60 seconds first try 😆

Inquisitor's Girandole is one of the most slept on weapons in the game. You can use the Girandole in your off hand and a Flame Art Cross-Naginata with Black Flame Tornado powerstanced and destroy most enemies. Obtainable in a single playthrough without the need for anyone to drop anything, and they use different upgrade materials so you can upgrade both pretty quickly. These are pretty significant weapons for a Faith build given the issues with late game bosses being highly resistant to Holy damage but often much less so to fire and pierce damage. Both also build up bleed so you could even throw on the White Mask.

The issue with them castrating Rivers of Blood is that it’s basically unusable now. Corpse-piler was the main attraction for the sword, and without it everyone will move on to the next best thing. And when the terminal cancer that is PvP tends to dictate what is considered “overpowered”, the next best thing is just the next on the chopping block. The PvP babies have fragile egos, they’re incapable of accepting defeat, so to them anything that was used to beat them is just “overpowered” and must be “rebalanced”, which is now the code word for DESTROYED.

I actually don’t think Bolt of Grannsax belongs on this list. You say “I rarely hear anyone talk about this weapon” but I find that objectively false, I see people talking about it all the time in the Elden Ring FB groups and see it being used in a lot of YT shorts, and have seen it used in PvP quite frequently.

It's not a great build but for playthrough 2 in my main hand I've got Cold Great Stars with Waves of Darkness, Bolt of Gransax, and Misericorde with Flame of the Redmanes. In my off hand I've got Poison Rotten Battle Hammer with Beast's Roar, Haligtree Crest Greatshield with No Skill, and Frenzied Flame Seal. I mostly powerstance my great hammers to inflict Bleed, Frostbite, Poison, and Scarlet Rot. It's dumb but fun.

I've been using Great Stars on my current (initial) playthrough for all the crystalline? mobs and it's a beast St Trina was so crazy helpful against the godskin duo with a mimic summon

Sacred relic sword, bolt of gransax and sword of st trina I wouldn't say are being slept on. They are all very well known in the pvp community at least. Sacred relic is a bit less used cause the ash of war isn't that hard to dodge, but a gank spamming it is quite fearsome.

This Iron Greatsword is one I never hear mentioned. It eats up STR and shits out damage. It's a standard smithing stone greatsword that can use any affinity and consistently outperforms every other weapon in its size category for AR. It even has better AR than the weaker colossal swords, despite being lighter and faster.

The Nox flowing mace doesnt look very good, but its strong and theweapon art has great range and us quite fast. Its very effective in pvp because players tend to get clipped by the second hit of the attack.

The star fists is very underrated for me. Very low range but it does bleed buildup, solid hits, add beast roar for anything flying or long range, shard of Alexander, roar medallion for that extra kick. There is nothing quite like rushing enemies with your fists, definitely the most fun build I've used so far with 300 hours into the game right now.

Great stars has a passive healing effect on hit with the weapon. Paired with the aow golden land, and every time the beams of light hit something it'll heal you. They'll also do bleed damage

The grave yard scythe with chilling mist ash of war is very good, especially around volcano manor with the serpents. The frozen needle is good for early game; even has a hidden projectile move not in its description. Also the tree spear halberd is good for early on.

Also the thing with bolt of gransax is that it is easier to freeaim with this as it is with a spell for some reason. I am seeing myself hitting enemies from very high range getting hit by the ash of war without aiming or using bows to align the shot. I dont know why but it is very easy to line up the shot with this thing.

Outside of boss fights, I've been dual wielding the Magma Swords - I hear nothing about them but damn the unique skill melts groups and staggers larger enemies easily. Plus like the big red hammer, they leave fire pools for damage ticks. And they look amazing.

Bolt of Gransax became my favorite in the Haligtree. It knocked the marshmallow men off the branches, and yeah...the reach is stupid long. I love it. Give some attention to the Sacrificial Axe please. I used it through my entire playthrough to get my FP back (I was a mage). Just hold it in your left had, and also wear the Ancestral Spirit's Horn talisman. Using those together meant that I hardly ever ran out of FP. Also, using talismans that reduce your FP cost helps a lot too.

I see a couple weapons I might need to try. 🤔 I just made my first strength build for my second play through, and I love the Great Stars so far. Using the Wild Strikes ash for the attacks combo, and I’m carrying the Blasphemous Blade on my back for the healing after kills. I rarely need to use a flask for healing. I also carry the Clawmark Seal to use Golden Vow and Flame, Grant Me Strength for the buffed damage.

Im a follower of the Church of the Bolt of Chadsax, what a fricking awesome weapon! Also, i would like to add a weapon that has become a personal favorite in my first NG+: The Putrid Axe. Decent damage as you get closer to lvl 25, high Scarlett Rot build up AND you can infuse it with spells and such, which comes in handy when you fight undeads, since you can make it do holy damage for a while

Bolt of Gransax carried me through the late game until I got Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear, which I carried over into NG+ for a minute. I then tried out a dual-wielding frost/bleed katana build (it was almost poison/bleed), then settled on the Godslayer's Greatsword because I just can't get enough of the colossal sword move set. Considered respec'ing to try out the Hand of Malenia, but the siren call of the unga bunga is too seductive right now. Also Nightrider Flail is really underwhelming, imo.
