As a competitive amateur whos owned winnings, cletos, rivals etc, fly is by far the lightest/softest/airy glove out there which on their 10z is dangerous. My 18 oz fly gloves I use for sparring feel like they're 14 oz. Them things are lethal

@@barryseedbag276 it’s not that simple though is it? The padding could be tampered with and the weight of the gloves could still be made to be roughly the same by using heavier materials elsewhere. What matters is how much padding is (or isn’t) in between your opponents knuckles and you.. Less padding = more damaging/hurtful shots.

They were feeling out the gloves and the fit to check the integrity of the gloves, in other words, the lining and the filling of the padding of the gloves. It's really simple logic. They can easily weight the gloves on a mini scale, that should not be a problem, even though the gloves have already been weighed and numbered. The integrity of the gloves and the protection for those fighting is far more important.

All gloves come with compact cushions over the knuckles. If it is soft and loose around the knockles, then it could have been tampered with. Boxing is already danderous, and tampering only worsens the aleeady dangerous sport. Make sure the cushion area is compack and the weight is on point.

8 ounce gloves are dangerous. They got no padding in it and there’s small in general we’re not talking about 14 or 16 ounce gloves that have padding.

I guess now I understand why Mayweather and Tank always talk about the A-side and B-side. In this case, Liam Paro is the A-side. If I’m the A-side, I’m not dealing with all this headache. If they think the gloves are shady, the challenger can wear the same gloves. If not, the fight’s off-I’ll go fight someone else. I’m the champ; I didn’t have to give you this chance.
