just tested the 3 iron today. really enjoyed the feel and sound far and above the others I tested(Taylormade udi and dhy, titleist u500, and ping g something). liked the thinner topline and more compact blade. great numbers too. carrying it 218 average with a roll out to 233. gonna order the 2-iron though

Great segment. I am a Utility Club devotee... I carry an 18 and 20 degree Srixon U85 with the Accra Stiff Shaft. My 18 degree is 245 - 255 carry and 275 - 280 total and my 20 degree is 230-240 carry and 265 total. No hybrids or woods. I am a fan of the flat ball flight and being able to bend the ball with high ball speed through the wind. You are completely correct. If you can swing north of 95mph with these clubs then they are for you. I can play at about 100mph with my 20 degree. Below this mark and the hybrids are the play.

Hi Mike, Really enjoyed video. I am thinking of changing my X forged UT 18 deg utility iron as I find it a little too bulky. I played X forged 18 irons which I love. My concern would be my lack of speed. Currently 95mph chs/140 ball speed with Driver. I prefer a narrower sole, hence my irons. Do you think I could change ?? Many thanks Chris

How does this compare to the wilson staff utility Mike? I game the 2 18* and it gives a low penetrating flight and forgivness seems to be good
