Long time viewer, going out on my pedal kayak and I will be drifting for catfish using your method (with no stinger) for the first time. Got a good spot in the lake I’ve caught some big ones in the past. Hopefully I will be able to hook a few.

I noticed the catfish occasionally hook the anchor line. Is it possible to attach a rod holder near the stern that can be fitted with a pole to raise the anchor line a couple of feet higher so the anchor line will be out of the way?
