You Poisoned My Dog

The plaintiff brings her neighbor to court. She claims the defendant leaves rotten food outside and her dog ate it. She thinks the defendant poisoned the dog, so she’s suing for vet bills. The defendant argues she has been leaving breadcrumbs out for birds and would never harm a dog. She says the plaintiff’s dog is vicious and she even filed a complaint with animal control.

You would need expensive surveillance software (that only the government or gov contracted companies own or have access to use). Considering she’s just a regular old lady, this is overwhelmingly leaning to the cause being mental health issues.

So the plaintiff claims the defendant got in by using a key, but later says that the defendant went through a crawl space that connects the units - all to scratch her floors, puncture her dog's ball, and put birdseed in her drawers. Oh, yeah - and she accidentally left her phone outside for an hour or two, and the IT people deleted her evidence. Poor woman needs to get checked out, and possibly shouldn't be living alone. 😬

True, but feeding them at night would be silly as rats or other vermin would eat it. We put seed or fruit out in the morning for birds, often get small parrots coming in or sometimes cockatoos, if we were to put it out at night our resident possums would probably eat it.

What the landlord does, is, they normal take the lock off one door and switch it with another unit if they have multiple units or, they have several locks and they change the last one with one prior or a new one. They tend to just switch locks between multiple units if they had two empty so there is no need to be paranoid.

This plaintiff sounds to me like a conspiracy theorist. She's very proud of claiming the defendant wasn't putting the rotten food out in front of her place but next door, as if that proves something. She lists strange things happening in her home that could only have been done by the defendant. She learns that someone could, COULD, climb in through her crawl space, even though she says the defendant has a key. Conspiracy theories don't work well in court, where they usually require hard evidence. How about putting up a surveillance camera or two in her home? I have been the center of someone's delusional paranoia before and it can be scary.
