When the daughter can't read, write, and spell, the parents usually can't either. 🤷🏾‍♀️ That's how it's been in my experience as an educator.

Tabù Watkins, You have a point. When kids are failing parents have ample notice. There are often parents in extreme denial about their child's specific difficulties and special needs. It's often too overwhelming for them to come to terms with these things. There's also those who are just ignorant and think the kid is faking, wants attention, or lazy. And when teachers or school psychologists try to explain what might really be wrong they will get dismissed. And kids can't get services (like literacy specialists, 1 to 1 aides, etc.) without parental consent, so you end up stuck. Also those kids who need early intervention services are not getting it and they end up falling behind later on.

@@ShanteRoxxane I remember when I was in second grade I got left back once which meant I had to do it again but at that time period my mom had stage 4 beast cancer, I remember my grandma who would take care of me helping me with my home work I would say to her that that's not how it goes she would yell at me and say that is how it goes and that the reason why I got left back I she made me so confused. But now im in the 7th grade im in honors class 😁 even though I don't feel smart and have low self confidence💛💛💛

@@janebyfield7438 Hi Jane. I'm deeply sorry to hear about your mother. That is another reason why kids don't always do well, because they have a lot to deal with and may have depression too. I know what you mean when the adult explains it differently than what you understand. Sometimes there are many ways to explain the same thing but the teacher is only allowed to teach it one way. Your grandmother might know an older way that you didn't know. But I'm very happy to hear you're in honors. I was in special ed for 8 years and got out in 10th grade then got into honors in 11th and I still thought I wasn't that smart. So I know it can be hard, but stay focused and stay away from negative people in school.

She’s complaining about her daughters’ language yet, here she is on IG live cussing up a storm in front of millions of viewers. What does that say about her? Children mirror adults’ behaviors, as evident in this case with the mother and her adolescent daughters.

I bet if you look into her past and she was about that age I bet you she was worse than them. My mom wants told me that kids get it from one parent to another and it's so true. Children didn't come here with directions that's why you have to teach them. You can't wait until they they are teenagers you have to get all that done when they are small and growing. Kids follow the leader and they do everything the leader does. If you curse they curse. If you would clean up a little they will clean up. Try talking to your kids. Don't yell! Talking to them it might open up the communication between you three.

it's not okay, kids out here commiting suicide because of this. I remembered a few years back, this father cut his daughter hair because she was acting up in school. One day they were on driving on a high way ( I don't remembered if the dad stopped for something) but the daughter got out of the car and jumped off a bridge where there was on coming traffick. Apparently she was being bullied after kids at her school saw the video. Parents need to do better and punish their kids privately.

Deadass! It ain’t that hard. I struggled with math through 3rd grade to 8th. Even now, as a high schooler I still struggle sometimes but since high school is a lot more free (you can chose when to take notes, to ask questions, emails etc) I can do what works for me. I did and do try but it was so hard to grasp in those years. it was like listening to a foreign language and I was forced to follow the teacher’s method even if it didn’t work for me. My mom knew this, and she would help the best she could and encourage me to ask questions, but some of my teachers (my 6th grade teacher specifically, the rest were ok) felt like they were brushing me off. I remember I was using a calculator for my homework in 6th grade and so I got it done quickly, my teacher proceeded to embarrass me in front of the class for my fast time and claim someone sat down at did it all for me. That was horrible and I didn’t like her for the rest of the year. My 7th grade teacher was nice, she did help me and I was selected for mandatory morning tutoring that year which did help a lot. My mom had no problem waking me up early for the days I had it and she never put me down for it, though she did get disappointed when I completely bombed some of my tests. I still passed with an A or A- cause I did my homework however. High school math has been easier cause like I said, I’m not bound to a specific method or a mandatory way of taking notes or doing things (I do still copy down what my teacher writes but I’m free to make extra notes while they’re explaining and I don’t have to take notes if I don’t need them). But when I DO struggle my mom doesn’t treat me like I’m dumb, she never has despite the issues I’ve had all my life, she simply helps me. I don’t get why some of these parents just leave their kids to drown and then complain when they don’t do well. Make it make sense

Words do have power, even though she's mad at her kids she should be able to sit down and figure out the underlining issues is instead of exposing them online, its her fault as a mother that they can't read or write well, its her fault as a mother that her daughter is 16 and in the 8th grade, if she really had love for her kids she would do anything to make sure that her babies are straight no matter what type of wrong they have done, she signed up to be a mom when she cocked her legs open.

If your child is sixteen in the eighth grade, then YOU as a MOTHER failed. My mother was the one who taught me to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, divide, and critically think before the teacher even got to me. She gave gave me words from the dictionary to memorize the spellings and definitions of every week for a year. She always bought me workbooks ahead of my grade level to complete. I was always ahead of my class, the first to finish reading assignments. I was reading Huckleberry Finn in third grade for crying out loud. Why? Because my mother was teaching me outside of the classroom while I got instruction inside the classroom. Don't blame the child. Blame yourself! Even a mother who has not gone to college or has not completed high school can do a certain level of math and can read, so any mother can give their child a head start IF THEY CARE ENOUGH. Sorry. That was long. Hold on. I got more to say. SCHOOL IS NOT EASY. If your daughter is having trouble in school, and you can't help, pay for a tutor for her! She's worth it! Her future is worth it! I'm done. God bless 😊

I agree... My grandma didn't let us go outside n play as kids during the day tho we were able to get 2 or 3 hours in the evening before the sun went down she gave us book assignments, chapter books to read, math homework which I always failed at miserably.. But them books n book reports opened up a world of love, laughter n excitement for me as kid.. As a kid I didn't understand why and felt I hated her for it but as an adult I truly appreciate it cuz my reading n comprehension has always been above most of my peers. Now as a parent I made my kids all 4 of them read to me every night from kindergarten til 4 grade.. My oldest has a learning curve so he reads different but my last 3 teachers always say they read above average.. Didn't think wat I did seem to important til the teachers the other day told me my 14 who is a freshman read on a 12 grade level n my 11 who is in the 6 reads on a 8th grade above majority of their peers.. I'm not gonna take full credit cuz they spent the elementary to til last yr in charter schools which teach different then public schools.. So her child being 16 n the 8th i don't blame her as the child I blame u as the parent u failed her on so many levels... Did u take time to read to her n with her? Did u go to parent teacher conference? If she wasn't catching on did u get her tested? Did u ask for a IEP to b implemented? Again u simply failed her all ways round here

My daughter was moving too slow helping me clean and I simply said, "hurry up let's go" in a slightly elevated voice and she started crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said, "I dont like when you raise your voice". Then I went into the garage and called my mom and CRIED SO HARD. I was distraught. My mom was trying to calm me down but I just couldnt get over hurting her feelings like that. I have a great kid that obeys and listens to everything. I have never had to hit her or raise my voice. So even raising my voice was enough to teach her but it hurt me to even do that.

It sounds like they are from a previous relationship and the mom didn’t have a good relationship with the father. She talks about her children as two separate groups.
