@Comrade Pepe I don't like Biden, but he is absolutely not. He will have a better cabinet, appoint better supreme court nominees, and have better policies towards global warming (even if they won't be 'good'). This is just objectively untrue that he is 'just as bad' as Trump. I can understand justifying not voting for Biden, but it's just a fact that he's not as bad as Trump.

Mississippian here. Can confirm, your average person didnt know who bernie was where I canvassed, and the only thing they cared about was getting orange man out so when I told them that "Bernie has the best chance to get the mean orange guy out because polls" They responded to that heavily. HarpoonLobotomy The only reason Bernie didn't get swamped with endless negative coverage the way Jeremy Corbyn did was because the media ignored him for the majority of the primary. It wasn't because Bernie in his infinite wisdom played nice with CNN and MSNBC. HA what a ridiculous notion. Vaush is an idiot. He is obviously taking his cues from Destiny, the big brain master of geopolitics It is preferable for a campaign to get a load of dismissive contempt rather than slanderous hate 24/7, especially since are mush-liver Bernie is weak and can't figure out how to use it for his advantage. @red-eyessolares1817
@red-eyessolares1817 4 жыл бұрын
BrokenCurtain Well from my perspective. We always go straight for the Democratic nominee. We should try to give another party a chance like the Green Party, and actually give them a shot. We can give the Green Party a chance by giving them actual promotion, instead of thinking of them as an afterthought. If we were able to promote a Senator that not many people knew prior to 2016, I think we can give the Green Party an actual chance. If that doesn’t work, then we can go for Biden.

@@red-eyessolares1817 Look, I'm from Germany and what you're suggesting works in my country because we have proportional representation. But your country doesn't. I'm a big fan of pluralism, and being able to vote for third parties - but in order to make this work in your country, you're going to need to reform your electoral system first and introduce ideas like instant-runoff voting or overhang mandates. Maybe rethink your priorities?

At school the teacher was teaching us about businesses. I was excited because my father owned a company which I wanted to take over one day. Then the teacher brought up worker co-ops. I immediately began to get nervous. The teacher singled me out and asked "what's your opinion on worker co-ops" Should I lie? Should I tell her what she wants to hear? No. I mustered up all the courage I could and said "Um I don't think worker co-ops would work. It doesn't make sense for every janitor and waitress to be making important decisions. Also it undermines the important work and innovations great men like my father do." "Oh..." The teacher looked shocked. The atmosphere of the room completely changed. Everyone in the class gave me dirty looks. Should I have lied? On the bus ride home I kept hearing people talk about me behind my back. Saying I'm not a comrade and my father is a capitalist pig. Then a group of students assaulted me on the bus. They stole all my money to "reclaim the value of their parents labour". I screamed out to the bus driver for help. As the bus driver turned around to see what was going on I got a look at his face. It was Karl Marx. "Don't worry", he exclaimed menacingly. "You won't be needing money where we're going." I looked out the windows and saw the bus drive passed my house. "Wait!" I yelled. "You passed my house". I looked out the window again and my heart sunk. There was a sign with an arrow pointing forward that read "GULAG this way" I looked down at my hands and noticed I was in hand cuffs. In a panic I glanced around and realized everyone else was also in chains. Then I noticed who the other passengers on the bus were. Jeff Bezos, Martin Shkreli, Elon Musk. They were all great intelligent men who have been stripped of their humility, integrity and wealth. Then I noticed something I wish I hadn't. I looked at the man sitting next to Mike Bloomberg. It was my father. He was curled up in a ball, muttering to himself about some sociologist that convinced him that worker co-ops were a superior business model. "I never should have believed him" he cried. "Sociology isn't a real science. All the studies he showed me came from San Francisco. Everyone knows San Francisco is a leftist city. What was I thinking" Tears began to well up in my eyes. I looked out my window again and saw Vaush hanging on the edge of the bus. As soon as we made eye contact I knew it was too late. He smashed through the window and started aggressively offering me puberty blockers. I kept saying I didn't want them and that I was too young to make that kind of decision but he wouldn't listen and tried to force feed as I screamed for help. I woke up in a cold sweat. It was all a dream. My father ran into my room and asked if I was okay. "Dad?" I asked nervously. "Yes honey?" He responded with a worried gaze. "Would you ever think of turning your business into a worker cooperative?" I asked. He laughed. "Is that what this is all about? Don't worry. That would never happen. Even if I thought one of my workers was planning on running a union or was asking to compare wages with other workers, I would fire them on the spot." I immediately felt a sense of relief come over me. Then I went back to bed and slept like a baby. God bless capitalism.

@@gdo3510 Because if you saw from the unity Commission they won't push an agenda that conflicts with what the power structure wants. E.g. Evidenced by the aforementioned and how both groups have the exact same donors. It's branding. For example Fox is an arm of the RNC and who's biggest donors are Comcast(Owns MSNBC) and TimeWarnerMedia inc.(Owns CNN) which are arms of the DNC which pushed to give Trump the nomination as shown by WikiLeaks. Think about how this was pushed into action by Bill Clinton who branded himself as a Republican Democrat(a call back to their official name) and created the telecommunications act where now less than 6 MSM companies control our access to information. I could go on but consider it from an economic standpoint. If the RNC & DNC where corporations (they are) how would you try to change the market if you wanted something different? I don't think so either, the thing that matters is what happens during that presidency. For example a supreme court position opening up. Who would be a better president in that time? Or one that makes relatively progressive choices, when compared to other democratic candidates not including Senator Sanders?

Biden will not be any better on climate change, and I'm not convinced he will do anything effective in that regard. @@princessnamine100 I agree with all of these points, and I guess it's more my perspective on who wins the presidency that I'm arguing from. If Trump is allowed another presidency, there's a very good chance many minorities will become disenfranchised through a supreme court, whereas Biden, sure he'd probably elect centrist judges who could be convinced of either going for or against the disenfranchisement of minorities. But I'd prefer those types of judges than the possibly far right judges Trump might put in court. The more progressive policies, we can pressure Congress with, in a Biden presidency.

A better point is that a non vote is a half vote for both candidates. You support both sides as non votes are counted as "Don't care enough to have a say" a non vote is counted as a half vote for bothsides. That's ignoring the fact that not voting gives both candidates no reason to listen to you, you become politically irrelevant. I think this fellow Vaush was arguing with is under the impression that by voting for Biden is in effect rewarding Biden and the center left. Forgetting the consequences of the reality of 4 more years of Trump would bring. If there was killer with a knife going at an innocent person and you had a gun. You have 3 choices; the insane choice would be to shoot the innocent person. The next obvious choice is to shoot the killer. The last potential decision is to not shoot anything. Out of those 3 choices 2 of them are more likely to lead to death of the innocent. Sure, you don't have blood on your hands with the inaction option, but you share a modicum of culpability. Ideally the best way to live morally is to achieve the best outcome you can see, when you see it if you are able.
