ABOUT THE CHANNEL:
“WHAT IS UP!?”
Welcome to Moore Not Less Reactions where we don’t take life SO SERIOUSLY and enjoy watching films and television shows. We give truthful and blunt reactions and want to watch EVERYTHING!
Erik Moore and his Mini Poodle Graham have been reacting on the channel since the beginning. He has a niche for horror and reality television shows and is always looking for the next best film to SCARE him, while Graham LOVES dog films.
Shawna Work is the lovely cohost, the tiny soul with a sailors mouth, and has basically lived under a rock her whole life, making her film/ television exposure very minimal. She loves horror films as well as romantic comedies.

Still thinking that Dumbledore chose the tasks on purpose: Hermione knew about Devil's Snare (way above a first Grade) and she would solve a riddle (Snape's task, not in the movie). Harry got to show his Skill with the flying keys and yes, Ron, what else than a chess board

It is true that Gryffindors, like any other house, can make mistakes & do messed up things. However, the same can be said for members of any other house. The important thing is how they learn from their mistakes & grow as people. Additionally, while Gryffindors may have a reputation for being cocky or overconfident, they also have a strong sense of loyalty and bravery that drives them to do great things. As for Hufflepuff, while its members are often seen as kind and hardworking, this doesn't mean that they are without flaws or negative aspects. Hufflepuffs can sometimes be too trusting or naive, and they may struggle with assertiveness or standing up for themselves. However, these weaknesses are balanced by their loyalty and dedication to their friends and family. Slytherin is often viewed as the "bad" house, but in reality, its members are just as capable of doing good as anyone else. Slytherins is about camaraderie/fraternity, supporting one another so such a degree that your success beyond school is set, you’ll see some of this in future movies, those belonging to this house are often resourceful and ambitious, and they can be very dedicated to achieving their goals. However, this can sometimes lead them to make morally questionable decisions or pursue power at any cost. But as with any other house, there is a wide range of personalities and values within Slytherin, and it is unfair to generalize all Slytherins as being evil or bad. Ultimately, the Hogwarts houses are a way of exploring different personality types and values within the wizarding world. Each house has its own strengths and weaknesses, and when they work together, they can achieve great things. Hogwarts is divided into four houses: Each house has its own unique traits, values, & characteristics that define its members. Gryffindor is known for its bravery, courage, and daring. Its members are often seen as heroes, willing to stand up for what is right and fight for justice. Gryffindors are also known for their loyalty and camaraderie, and they value friendship and teamwork. Ravenclaw is known for its intelligence, wit, and love of learning. Its members are often seen as the brainiacs of Hogwarts, with a deep appreciation for knowledge and a thirst for intellectual challenges. Ravenclaws are also known for their creativity and originality, and they value individuality and free thinking. Hufflepuff is known for its kindness, loyalty, and hard work. Its members are often seen as the underdogs of Hogwarts, with a deep appreciation for fairness and equality. Hufflepuffs are also known for their empathy and compassion, and they value teamwork and collaboration. Slytherin is known for its ambition, cunning, and resourcefulness. Its members are often seen as the villains of Hogwarts, with a reputation for being ruthless and power-hungry. However, this is a misconception, as Slytherins are also known for their loyalty and determination, and they value success and achievement. It's important to note that no house is inherently good or evil, and that each house has its own unique strengths and weaknesses. While some members of Slytherin may have pursued dark magic or sought power at any cost, this doesn't mean that all Slytherins are evil. In fact, many Slytherins have gone on to become important and respected members of the wizarding community, using their ambition and cunning to achieve great things. Ultimately, the Hogwarts houses are a reflection of the different personalities and values that make up the wizarding world. Each house has its own unique traits and characteristics, and together they form a rich and diverse community of witches and wizards.

The use of different types of wood in wand-making is based on real-world Celtic/ Irish beliefs In their traditional knowledge & mythologies; different types of trees were associated with different months of the year, and it was believed that the properties of the tree could influence a person's personality and destiny. For example, those born in May were associated with the hawthorn tree, which was said to represent love and protection. Those born in November were associated with the rowan tree, which was said to have protective properties against evil spirits. This tradition of associating trees with different personality traits and characteristics is reflected in the Harry Potter series through the use of different types of wood in wand-making. Each type of wood has its own unique properties and characteristics that are said to influence the personality and abilities of the wizard who uses it. Wands in the wizarding world have their own unique properties and characteristics that are determined by the type of wood and core used to make them. For example, wands made from elder wood are said to have a powerful and protective magic, while wands made from willow wood are known for their adaptability and flexibility. The core of a wand is also an important factor in its properties. The most commonly used wand cores are phoenix feathers, dragon heartstrings, and unicorn hairs. Phoenix feather wands are said to be the rarest and most powerful, and they are known for their ability to perform magic that is particularly difficult or complex. Dragon heartstring wands are known for their power and flexibility, while unicorn hair wands are known for their loyalty and consistency. The properties and meanings of different woods and cores are deeply rooted in wizarding lore and tradition. By choosing the right combination of wood and core, a wizard can create a wand that is uniquely suited to their personality and magical abilities. This creates a deep connection between a wizard and their wand, as each wand has its own personality and characteristics that are intimately connected to its owner. It can often resist what you are trying to do if it doesn’t exactly agree with you or simply leads to spells going awry! Similar to Finnegan’s constantly exploding things can lead to dangerous and even deadly results if people continue to abuse magic without the respect it truly deserves. Overall, the use of different woods and cores in wand-making helps to create a rich and immersive magical world in the Harry Potter series. By exploring these connections, we can gain a greater appreciation for the depth and complexity of the wizarding world and the way in which J.K. Rowling weaves together magic, tradition, and the vast mythological histories to create a truly unique & captivating story. wands have their own sentient interconnected culture, and they are intimately connected to their owners! Each wand has a unique personality and magical properties that are determined by the type of wood and core used to make it. For example, wands made from oak are known for their strength and stability, while wands made from willow are known for their flexibility and adaptability. In Celtic astrology, each month is associated with a different type of tree, and the properties of that tree are said to influence the personality traits of people born during that month. For example, those born in June are associated with the oak tree, which is said to represent strength, stability, and a deep connection to nature. This connection between wands, wood types, and Celtic astrology helps to create a rich and immersive magical world that is rooted in real-world traditions and beliefs. By exploring these connections, we can gain a greater appreciation for the depth and complexity of J.K. Rowling's wizarding world and the way in which she weaves together magic, mysticism & science to create a truly unique and captivating story.

Well, they use "He who must not be named" because back when Voldemort was in power, he put a taboo on his name. That way anytime anyone said his actual name out loud, he'd know exactly where you were just by saying it, it's like a locator, and he or some of his followers would show up instantaneously by apparating (teleportation) to your location to either torture information out of you, kill you, or both... and it wouldn't just happen to the person who said it, anyone that's with the person who said it would get the same treatment. Even if you weren't plotting against him in any way, you were still guaranteed to get messed up for using his name, at the very least... and if he or whoever he sends was in a bad mood, you and anyone else that's there is dead, even if no one did anything to go against him and you answered their questions. So because so many people died and/or dissappeared because they said his name, even though he's technically be gone (no body was found) for nearly 11 years and there's no longer a taboo placed on his name since the day he dissappeared, people are still terrified of saying it.. it's basically only Dumbledore who was never afraid to say it, even while Voldemort was in power he'd use his name.... or even his birth name which really pisses Voldemort off. Anyway, by using 'he who must not be named' was the only way anyone could talk about Voldemort or come up with plans to fight against him without him finding out and leading someone(s) directly to your location... and it's easy for everyone to know who you're referencing. I wouldn't say his name either, atleast not while he was alive... I'd rather say a few extra words and live to see tomorrow lol

Welcome to The Wizarding World rabbit hole that is Harry Potter. The best thing about the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone, to me is that the chambers following the third-floor corridor containing Fluffy each play to the strengths of Harry, Ron and Hermione. The Devil's Snare chamber caters to Hermione's knowledge of spells. (Even though she froze up out of fear in the book and had to be reminded that she was a witch by Ron) The room with the winged keys caters to Harry's skill with quidditch. And the chess room caters to Ron's knowledge of how to play chess. Side notes: The Sorting Hat chooses new students' houses based on their corresponding personality traits: Gryffindor-Bravery, helping others, and chivalry. Hufflepuff-Hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play. Ravenclaw-Intelligence, knowledge, and wit. Slytherin-Ambition, cunning and resourcefulness. Erised (The Mirror of Erised) is the word desire spelled backward. Hedwig is a snowy owl. They have ruffled wing feathers to silence their flight so prey animals don't hear them coming. They also have natural camouflage due to their coloration, and they're the only birds who don't have bare feet due to their habitats, like the Arctic Tundra. At the time of the deaths of Lily and James Potter at the hands of Voldemort, Harry was only 15 months old.

Welcome to the journey guys! This first one is rather light-hearted and child friendly for two reasons. One being that this is our introduction to this world through the eyes of Harry, the other is that the main protagonists are 11, so the language and the content is in line with that. But as they grow older, the series becomes very serious and very dark. The books even more so than the movies, the last volume is nothing short of a treatise in morality on the topic of death, disguised as a novel. For now, remember one thing: there's a good reason for everything, even if you don't understand it. Rowling did her job thoroughly. Regarding your question about Harry having to go back to the Dursley's and not being adopted by someone else, there's a good reason for that too, and since it's never made clear in any of the movies, nor does it spoil anything I can actually tell you: Harry's mother cast herself between Voldemort and his son, trying to protect him. Basically she sacrificed herself for her son. That act of supreme love provided Harry with a very powerful and lasting protection. That's why his touch burned Quirrel, because Quirrel was possessed by Voldemort and the protection means among other things that Voldemort cannot touch Harry. It also means, that while Harry lives in a house where his mother's blood - her sister, Harry's aunt - also dwells, he is protected there. The protective charm lives in his mother's blood and Petunia sharing that blood - as mean, jealous and abusive as she is - sealed that charm when she accepted Harry in her home. He only needs to return to that house once a year, but he needs to be able to call that place "home". And it only works until Harry is 17 which is when one becomes an adult in the wizarding world. One last thing: the inscription on the mirror is not Latin. It's "I show not your face but your heart's desire" written backwards. Erised is desire backwards. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, I'm a massive Potterhead, so I can answer and I will gladly as long as I'm not spoiling anything.

Spent 5 days at Universal Orlando a few years ago. Spent most of it in the Wizarding World parts of the parks. It was fantastic. Well worth the the money I spent out of the small inheritance l got to check off the top thing on my bucket list. I highly recommend the books or audiobooks after you finish the movies. A bit of a different adventure..especially with the later movies because so much is left out. Plus the screenwriter gave Hermione a lot of Ron and Harry's things. There are also a lot of interesting characters left out because of runtime. Ron was right. Hermione really needed to sort out her priorities. I was a Hermione type student (except I never raised my hand) but I think being unalived is a lot worse than being expelled. 😂 The troll shouldn't have been in the castle at all. That's why everyone was worried.

Thank you for your reaction. I`m looking forward to joining you on your Harry Potter journey :) During the last war between the good and dark wizards (when Harry`s parents were killed), the name "Voldemort" was under a spell and attracted Voldemort`s followers (Death Eaters). That`s why those who lived through the war still fear the name. The younger generations don`t understand the real meaning of why Voldemort`s name is taboo. Especially young wizards who were raised by Muggles, like Harry and Hermione, have no fear of mentioning The Dark Lord`s name. You said that there is a lot of favouritism at Hogwarts. Not really, as you will see later. MacGonegall doesn`t single out Harry. Although she is a kind but also strict, yet mainly fair, and motherly figure, she is also a great Quidditch enthusiast. On the Quidditch Plaque, you can see her name next to James Potter`s name, which means that she was once a respectable player. But first of all, Professor McGonagall is very competitive. She wants Gryffindor to win against Slytherin!! That`s why she gifted Harry the "Nimbus 2000" and not because she singles him out. She would have given the best broom to any other Griffindore seeker. Also, Harry isn`t just "The Boy Who Lived". He is also "The Boy Who Disabled Voldemort and thereby Stopped The War". When Voldemort cast the death spell on Harry it bounced back at him. In other words, he shot himself. With Voldemort barely alive and crawling into a hiding place and disappearing, his followers were left without their leader and they didn`t stand a chance and the war ended. That`s why good wizards and witches love Harry and the evil ones despise him. The Dark Side lost its power because of Harry. At first glance, Harry`s world seems simple but it is actually very complex, especially psychologically. Comparing the wizarding world and its rules with our world and our ethics is like comparing our Earth with Mars. In the last thousands of years, our and their society have undergone totally different stages of development and progress. Their history is different from ours. Their revolutions and ours have nothing in common. They don`t care about Racism, Feminism, or the Sexual Revolution. Their "Democracy" isn`t like ours. In some ways, they still live in the Dark Ages. That`s why their philosophy of life differs from ours. Their justice and hierarchical system isn`t anywhere near to ours. Diving into Harry Potter`s world means letting go and accepting that nothing is as we know it and anything is possible. I envy you for your fresh dive into Harry`s world, but I`m glad that I can go with you.💛🖤💛

A big tip for you , over half the people watching these Harry Potter reactions , will stop watching if they don’t see Atleast fast releases for these. Some people will react to one a week and they always lose most viewers on the second video release and it stays like it until the end. It’s because people search and find the first reaction , then when they can’t find the next and see it’s gonna be for example a week until the next time they can watch , they’ll quickly either find somebody else reacting or will just simply stop watching. Not telling you what to do in any way , I do suggest tho that you are quick with these releases if you were looking to gain viewership off this series

If you go to visit Harry Potter World at Universal Studio Theme Park, you may also want to plan a trip to Paris and go to Nicholas Flamel's house. It's one of the oldest houses still standing in Paris. For many years it was an inn but it now a restaurant. Since the books and movies came out, the chef created a Harry Potter menu for children.
