I like to headcanon that Jin mostly speaks Japanese, because his lines when the last song when he was supposedly talking he was in Japanese, so that means the Demon was speaking Japanese to him half way through to comfort him more.

This is what I love about DemonDice's brand of inspirational music. It doesn't sugarcoat anything. It presents the most harrowing, soul-crushing scenario, yet she still has her hand on your shoulder, telling you, "Try again. You got this." This song is smooth, cool, sad, yet also optimistic. DemonDiceKaren never misses. It's great knowing that she has our backs.

Coming after hearing "Fake ass gold" and the meaning for this song as changed for me. Both tracks are great works of art. Fake ass gold just changed how this song is viewed but not diminished in value. It just added more the meaning behind it. Originally this song was a song about keep on going even when it gets hard, and I been using it as a pick me up whenever I feel like quitting. Now when I hear it, and I don't only hear never quit but also it's still going to suck but it will be worth it because the path is going to give you more than the goal alone.

Even I usually dislike rap I gotta say this really hit hard in the feels It's a really sweet message and I love it, also just a small fact about a few letter but when it says that you left home and people that support you, I feel that's really sweet that keeps it bague and doesn't explicitly says Family, because people that are there to support what you love are not always the ones you grew up with (my friend group is way more supportive than one side of my family is with my dreams and carrier choices) Really nice song, wish to listen more of this in the future

My dad says that the rap nowadays (what I'm gonna call "Pop Rap") is less filled with rhythms and rhymes and more slurring of words. It's also kinda slower, I think, with enough sounds to develop that "Pop" part of it that makes it seem like the genre's trying to lean towards "trendy" in trade for impact. Meanwhile, this one has a swing-kind of background taste, and the lyrical style brings itself back to Rap's roots.

In fairness, Demondice's surge in popularity started before the debut of HoloEN. I think it was mainly kickstarted by the success of Alkatraz in March and April 2020. At this time last year (February, before the release of Alkatraz) she only had 8.5 thousand subs, and when HoloEN debuted mid-September she was already up to 61.5 thousand, so it's still some pretty damn impressive growth. And if you check Socialblade, the debut of HoloEN really didn't affect the rate of her sub growth much at all. It's been on a pretty steady pace since Alkatraz. Same for the video views. It's actually remarkable how steady the pace is.

I don't dislike rap as a genre, I just hate what all the more popular artists are doing with it. I've heard enough songs about guys killing each other over drugs, money, women, or because they felt like it to last several lifetimes. But stuff like this? Songs about persevering and trying to rise to the top, despite the cards life dealt you? This is what I live for!

@@bionicdragon5 Honestly there are way better artists in the mainstream now. You just need to actually look at them. That whole drug and money phase is going away. There are some here and there but if you look the really popular rappers are actually decent.

I cannot imagine the amount of raw talent, dedication and creativity it must take to make a song make sense in multiple languages and beyond being coherent it's insanely catchy and some of the rhymes are better than people only able to use a single language. Absolutely amazing
This one hits me really hard, in a way I wasn't expecting to be. The first time I listened to this track I shed more tears than I have in a long time. I've lacked motivation for a long time, and now I feel the spark that led me to complete the Souls series without dying for something real. Thank you for everything, and I can't wait to see more from you!

The Spotify algorithm was the first to tip me off, but youtube brought me here as well eventually, which is where I recognized the art style and realized I'd been admiring Demondice's art ever since Tophamhat-Kyo's "Princess" video. I honestly find it strange that there isn't more talk about this considering that the algorithm must have reveled it to quite a few people, and we're on the internet, which normally would means it would spread like wildfire. But there is like, only a single reddit post with a handful upvotes talking about it as far as I can see. But I guess that just goes to show that her fans care. So yeah, love the lyrics and how well it flows with the track, love the message behind it, love the visuals, love it all.

Being someone who's always wanted to ditch the rat race and find some alternative before getting to uni and enslave myself to hours upon hours of pharmaceutical research as if it's the only source of income to keep me afloat on this island called life (run on sentences, ugh), I always come back to this song. Ever since I fell into the Fake Type rabbit hole when quarantine started back in March, I find myself coming back to your songs - almost religiously - to fuel my motivation tank. Whether it be school, working on artwork, workouts or music, I regain my drive. I really do, especially when I got the shock of my life when I found out what you've been doing lately 🤫 What it is you continue to do, I wish you the best and know that while you MAY write these for your own "therapy session", they really do impact the lives of many in a positive sense and for that I thank you on behalf of thousands and maybe even millions in the near future.

Had a rough day this afternoon, and it's honestly gonna be rougher until the day is over. But seeing Jin crying and the lyrics of the song resonated with me and my eyes started watering seeing this. I guess if I was an ace, I feel like I let my potential rot from being comfy and "stable" and I'm trying to work back into things. And then the buddies liking to shun and doubt me, it was too real. That's what I love about this song (this is only my 2nd song I've listened to from Demondice other than Alcatraz) and definitely has me wanting to see more, how harsh yet still inspirational this song is

@Stressed Magma Yes, I listen to her songs too and I enjoy her style in a similar manner that I enjoy DemonDice's, however just because they both rap doesn't make them one in the same; they're both their own artist with their own takes on the genre. Take mint and orange flavoured chocolate for example. They are both unique in a sea of dark, white and milk chocolate, yet they're still a type of chocolate at their core. Despite that, I would never substitute mint for the orange, or vice versa, as it's just not the same. Again, I really do enjoy songs from both, but if you only eat mint chocolate, eventually the sea will be flavoured mint.

@@Zullfix i mean...try listening to this with one of Mori song's, and see if you notice how their voice are similar.
@Zullfix3 жыл бұрын
@@Shiroo497 Yea, I'm aware. But my point is that listen to the lyrics, the instrumentals, the tone of voice. They both have quite different styles, hence why I called them their own artist, because in a sense they are. Not blaming you specifically, but it annoys me when people call them the same (think of pink guy and joji as an example). I made a playlist containing only the 2 of them, and I suggest anyone else who argues they're the same does too, and you notice some things you wouldn't have otherwise. It's crazy how different their songs are
@Shiroo4973 жыл бұрын
@@Zullfix oh, i thought you meant as different as how they are different in a sense, not on how they do as an artist. I was misunderstood then. Yeah, they are different in everything they do and how they do it you are correct with that. And I wasn't trying to say they do the same thing because they are the same person. They are the same person but is 2 different and separate artist with different style.
