There’s only one exception to that rule and that’s when you are talking about the perennial blue chip books like giant size X-Men, Avengers 4, Hulk 181 and the like. Those books are always gems and always will fetch a hefty price and will always hold their value. The only question with those books is did you get the best bang for your buck at the time when you bought or sold it. Any book that’s not blue chip, you’re DEAD ON with that assessment.

@@ludotoyhunter8492 Good point about the blue chip books... some have great long term potential BUT if you buy them when they're "hot" there's still a risk of losing money if you're not in it for the long haul. I recently watched one of the other youtube channels where the guy was upset that he paid like $5k fir a low grade Hulk 181 that's worth about half of wat he paid 2 years later in that grade.

The Batman key sales are not connected to anything going on with movies. Anybody who believes this knows nothing about comic book collecting/investing. During the boom I traded my GSX 1 - a CGC 5.0 w a missing page - for a Batman # 23 CGC 1.O and some cash. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I made a couple of purchases last week. One of them was a first bane double signed 9.8 for that reason - Batman keys are solid. The other was a signed Gem edition Red Sonya 9.8.

I'm not convinced the Red Hulk spec is going to peter out - that assumes that what Disney do with Thunderbolts doesn't go with something like the volume 2 team. We have Deadpool in the MCU now, Rulk coming, Punisher due back via Daredevil... that team is coming together.

Fellas.. Thunderbolt Ross's HULK (aka RH) is IN the guts of HULK issue 1 2008 and in full. If anything, Issue 2 is the Thunderbolt Ross HULK Revealed to be RED. The books on the top ten are usually not the books to buy now, they’re actually the books to be selling now. Buy the books you want, first and foremost. After that, buy the books that are not spiking in value. This means if you want to spec, you have to have your thumb on the pulse of the market and all its influences. By the time it’s a “top ten” seller, you’ve missed the window.

Im moving on Strange Adventures. No more procrastinating. Neal Adams cover..huge potential and lots of Marvel Fanboys who dont know what to buy. My Batman 227 is at least a 7.0 and I bought it for $80. I am not slabbing it anytime soon though. I am considering sending in my Conan #1. Once I secure a reading copy.

My guess why Conan keeps making the list is simply because titan comics has been killing it with promoting the character on KZbin and other social media. The books they been putting out have been top tier

I think Conan and the Batman’s are being bought by the early bronze generation, these were classics and favorites in their time. We loved Neal Adams, Barry Smith and Berni Wrightson. They were highly collectible when they were coming out!

@@David-qp4jq . The Unknown element is where the potential is. We have seen Batman, Spider Man, Wonder Woman, Superman , Cap...all done to death. Bring something new and different to the mainstream, and it hits = money well spent. Plus, it's an iconic Neal Adams cover that will hold value regardless. So the trick is just to make sure you dont overpay. Personally, I'm betting on it - but only if I can secure one for less than $500.00
