Something I've been allowing to distract me from the one good thing? Honestly, social media 😅 which can be tough as someone whose work is on social media. BUT, I never want to let it take me from what's most important and I'm constantly figuring out what good boundaries are to keep me from that. This past week, I've been pretty much just going on when I need to post something only so I can reset my priorities before easing back in. 💛

For me it’s been Social Media, KZbin, Doubt and Worry. 😅😅😅 But in all these things I’ve learned that the more I submit my will to those and not what the Lord commands is part of the problem. And so these things start to take precedence over going directly to God to give me his media, and give me his Peace and his reassurance spiritually, and allowing that to be stronger in my life than what’s in my flesh. Many times I can feel the urging from God to start THAT thing, but I’ve procrastinated and fell away.

So so good Kaci. God recently convicted me that my service towards others was actually very self-serving. I was desiring my cup to be filled by what I DO for others, rather from the identity that God was given me. It is only from abiding in Jesus when our service is fruitful. Not because of our power, but because of His.

I too have been distracted with social media, anxiety, worry depression and lack of peace. I have been self sabotaging fearing if I go forward I’ll mess up or I think things won’t get better they will remain the same. But I know that is the trick of the enemy. I know that God has a plan for me the enemy wouldn’t be trying to distracted if God didn’t have a plan for me. So yeah… God knew that I needed to hear this today. This is just a confirmation.

Honestly, for the first time in my short 3-year walk with the Lord, I feel like I'm starting to actually backslide. I'm distracted, busy, anxious, and would much rather watch TV than read my bible or pray. I now feel like I actually can't read or pray for some reason because I feel like I've walked so far from God for a few weeks. I struggle a TON with stress because of all the things I think will never get done unless I do them now, and it’s always now, now, now; pressure, pressure, pressure. God has to keep reminding me of the verse, “Be still and know that I am God.” I get so worked up and hyper-anxious and stressed whenever I have many deadlines for things that I don’t know I’ll be able to finish on time and He just has to keep saying, “Be still, breathe, you’re in my hand; rest.”

I’ve been allowing my fears about how God is going to do the things He has placed on my heart as well as the timing of when it will happen. I’ve been praying daily and consuming scripture after scripture and listening to song after song all to try and get to a “certain place” of faith so that God would see I was ready for his blessings or that I could handle the calling he’s given me. But that’s not how God works. He doesn’t dangle our hearts desires in our faces and make us jump through hoops to get them. He invites us to go through the wilderness season as a way of preparing us for our future. My wilderness is the waiting that I’ve found myself in and I felt God asking me so heavily today to read Luke and to really contemplate if I trusted Him with the things I’m praying for. My spirit found no rest while I was doing homework and listening to songs and trying to distract myself from the unrest in my own mind. I finally had to step away and sit with God and then this video came up and it was over Luke! I don’t know when or how God will do “it” and I would love to say I have complete and total faith that he will, but the truth is, sometimes I don’t. I’m just a human looking to God to do what only He can do which is to see me through the season I’m in. Please pray for me and the desires God has placed on my heart, that they would not take the throne in my life but that I would keep my eyes on Christ.

Since 2015 I’ve been in love with the outdoors and that i don’t like city living and how much spending time outdoors and learning everything outdoors is my goal in life i spend most my time on my days off watching KZbin videos in nothing but camping fishing hiking and spending time in the outdoors that i forget i should be spending time reading Gods word, praying, seeking wisdom and knowledge from Him and now i know why that is important in slowly making that transition to watch one or two videos on the outdoors and spending time in my prayer room, and then stuffing the Bible and WOW i can already feel the difference in my heart, my soul how refreshing it is to spend time with God, thank you so much for doing what you do take care, God bless❤❤❤❤

I went to bed and woke up this morning feeling like I have to figure out how exactly to serve others and God otherwise I’m not doing a good enough job as His daughter and loving others, when really He just wants me, my time, my heart. It’s been coming up a lot for me to be still, and spend time with Him, and then afterwards, loving others & serving Him will come naturally. Something I’ve been allowing to distract me from the one good thing is worrying. Being uncertain about my future, my career, my next season and how to step out from my current one brings a feeling of fear worry and ultimately confusion. I struggle immensely with time management and not being as productive and diligent as I want to be with the priorities I believe will help me prepare for that next season. It is mentally exhausting. Hello! I recently subbed, The word of God truly is powerful. I found this on my feed, it's one of the best decisions I made today to watch it. One of the distractions that I have been allowing to distract me is this new guy that I recently met. I have been having a hard time to combat this situationship for a while but this video help me realized what my priorities are. And it is God. If you put Jesus on top and made him your priority, he will take care of all of the other thing. Just like a thumbs up, let Jesus be on top(the thumb) and your other priorities on the other 4 fingers and everything will be okay👍. This came at such a good time! I’ve been struggling with distraction lately, just being so plugged into the world in my free time and not the word or prayer, and when I go to actually read the word or pray, those thoughts of a video I saw or of drama at work pop into my head and distract me. I get so frustrated about it and it’s something I’m actively praying about to combat. My husband told me that when you get frustrated and panicked from distractions, to really focus in on Christ, His purpose, His love, His power, His kindess, etc. and seek Him. When you start thinking deeply of Him, your focus then is shifted to where it needs to be to not allow satan to distract you. Idk, maybe a little different than what you were talking about, but still distraction nonetheless! Thank you for sharing this ☺️💙

thanks for this video , what has been distracting me a lot is my busy life especially wanting to do more to feel validated i never felt that way before because i have always been aware of my values but recently i feel like if i am not working every time i am not doing enough so i lost my boundaries and prayer is the last thing because i feel like i should be working and through i lost God and myself as well. Love your videos. Something that has been distracting me from the one good thing is my partner. I want to follow Jesus but he's not on the same page as me. He likes things of the world and I want to be in communion with God and it's very difficult when we live together and all he wants to do is party, entertain and drink.
