Great tip. Glad to see you back at it. Your screen presence is awesome brother. You make it fun to watch and always informative and helpful. Please stay with it. We need people like you on KZbin. What you’ve been going through was just a bump in the road bro. You got this brother. 👍🏻💪🏻🙏

Nice tip, and a timely reminder. Working on some 'Jumps' at the moment. Just need to find where the guides are hiding in my software.
@VicBarryАй бұрын
Good stuff! What software are you using?
@DrunktopusАй бұрын
@VicBarry I'm using Filmora Pro. The version before they discontinued it.
@DrunktopusАй бұрын
@@VicBarry I am using Filmora Pro. The version they released right before the stopped supporting it.

I agree about bad jump cuts making me want to stop watching. It seems especially bad in many “talking head” videos. This is a very good solution. Thanks........Take care, Bluefin.
@VicBarryАй бұрын
Yeah. Totally. It’s one of the first things that drive me nuts watching a video. And they’re not that hard to do right.

Hey Vic i hope you’re well? Great wee video and helpful, I don’t really use zoom cuts but great tip. Question if you don’t mind, looking to buy £200-300 head shot video camera, any recommendations? Cheers Liam btw to see back on the horse 😂
@VicBarryАй бұрын
Hey Liam, depends on what you want to be honest. Do you want to change lenses all the time or something else. Is the camera locked off on a tripod all the time or will you be vlogging with it. I think you’ll struggle to find something exceptional at the price “new” but the second hand market is definitely worth a look.
@ljscalemodels526Ай бұрын
@@VicBarry Hi Vic many thanks for getting back to me - the camera will be locked off on tripod all the time and i wont be vlogging :) cheers Liam
@VicBarryАй бұрын
@@ljscalemodels526 I'd definitely look at something in the second hand market for the budget. But also depends on lighting etc. is it a well lit room etc.

Great tip :) I’ll now have a skip threw my edits and see if I used the lines, I’m betting I didn’t but normally my jump cuts are into an object, will try these rules with that too. Good to see you :)

I just covered mine up with b-roll LOL. Sometimes the b-roll doesn't even fit what I'm talking about but it covers up my cuts
@VicBarryАй бұрын
Hey Daniel, totally b-roll works too. It’s definitely helped me cover up some nightmares lol

First - Where is the Lewis BBQ hat? LOL - Also, another way to do this (maybe another video) is to crossfade the video by 3 frames. Then if you go to the 2nd frame it will be 50% of each video on top of another. Now you can line up the eyes on the second piece and then remove the crossfade. Miss ya bud!!!
