hi! I'm not a doctor, just a person, but I want to share my experience. I also used to want to sleep all the time, despite the fact that I slept for 8-10 hours at night. I did the following things that helped me just all together . 1. Sleep when it is completely dark around. In my case, I changed my sleep pattern. I started going to bed at 11 pm and getting up at 7 am. Sometimes I use a sleep mask, but I dream of special curtains that completely darken the room. 2. Eliminate sugar. I know that many people find this a bad action, because I think that you can lose your temper. But it’s easier for me not to eat sugar at all than to eat a little of it. This is the only way to get rid of sugar addiction, if you have one. I especially wanted to sleep earlier after dessert. If you have a sugar addiction, you will suffer for a while without it, then you will feel better and have more energy. 3. Physical activity. I wasn't a fan of the movement at all, haha. Then I decided that I would only do it for pleasure and would not exert myself more than 20 percent. We don't want to torture ourselves. 20 minutes of cardio every day and you will be much more energetic. I started with 5 minutes until I wanted to increase the time. 4. And my favorite discovery. Contrast shower immediately after training. Gives energy for the whole day, lifts your mood, and increases productivity. And many other bonuses. There is no need to torture yourself right away. Start with warm and cool water. Warm the body with hot water, turn on the cold water and pour first on the ankles or wrists or neck. This will allow your body to get used to the temperature faster. And then the whole body. Repeat the cycle 2-3 times. And remember that everything should be done only for pleasure. I was terribly sleepy and tired quickly. Now I don't sleep at all. Although I used to do this almost every day. I hope my advice will help someone. And remember that there are always contraindications; it is better to learn more about these practices from professionals! And it’s best to consult a doctor, most likely he will help significantly

Try using some brown noise and white noise, experiment with it, else you might need to go on medication. I've started using brown noise and white noise, holy, life changer. All you have to do is search on youtube "Brown noise" or "White noise" and just let it run in the background. Did wonders for me.

@@grimreaper1084 this book about habits basically said change your system plus made it rewarding, meaning - make your envioment have no distractions, put your phone out of your study room, don't bring dishes of food into it either - add a reward for doing your studying, if you like a certain food, or like a certain video game, only play it after you studied as a reward

The important thing to remember is that your brain builds up a tolerance for anything that’s included in its reward center, so it’s important to utilize this in moderation, otherwise it can lead to depression if the same level of activity isn’t generally maintained.

An Invisible Army Then Elisha prayed, ‘O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!’ The LORD opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire. -2 Kings 6:17 When we read about angels in the Bible, they were, on many occasions, the executors of God’s judgment. For example, on one occasion, angels brought God’s judgment, killing 185,000 people. Billy Graham described angels as God’s secret agents. That’s a good description of them, because they generally operate undercover, doing the bidding and work of God. One reason we’re not personally aware of angels in our lives is because they’re doing their job properly. They remain invisible most of the time, except on occasions when God sends them on a special mission and they clothe themselves in human form. But when they appear in all their splendor, they are no doubt very beautiful to behold. The Bible’s description of angels is certainly awe-inspiring, especially in the visions of both the apostle John (in Revelation) and Ezekiel. If we were able to roll away the veil that separates the physical world from the spiritual one, if we could get a behind-the-scenes look into the invisible world of angels and demons, it would overwhelm us. On one hand it would be frightening to see the demonic powers that are clearly at work. But on the other hand, it would be exciting to see the angels that are working in the lives of believers. This very thing happened to the servant of Elisha, who was terrified by the armies that were closing in on him and the prophet. But Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” (2 Kings 6:17) And in a moment, this young man had the privilege of peeking behind the supernatural veil and getting a rare glimpse into the invisible world. The Bible says that when the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, “he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire” (2 Kings 6:17) What he saw was the equivalent of an army. An angelic military force had surrounded Elisha and his servant. We see throughout the pages of Scripture that angels are alive, well, and working. And the Bible says they also will be working mightily in the last days. Angelic activity will reach a fever pitch in both the holy and the unholy realms. The angels of God will be active, and demons will be active as well. Then, one day, the archangel will call all true believers to Heaven. The Bible says, “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) Yes, there is coming a day when those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ will literally leave this earth in what we call the Rapture. Where will you be on that day?

We don't need to force, just follow our own energy/flow ^^. You doing great. Meditation help a lot, especially for us Ni dom, INTJ & neurodivergent. I think it's help a lot too to let go the bad traits of our enneagram. It solve many things with ourselves, we reconnect to our essence.

This video is such a great inspiration! It's as if I need to remind myself every day of these principles. I realize I have a long journey ahead of me. Building 'if-then' systems seems very efficient, and I'm excited to try these next. Another thing that helps me is following simple rules, like 'don't go shopping when you're hungry' and 'buy only the items on your list', or 'don't eat anything 4 hours before going to sleep.' Has anyone else found success with simple rules or 'if-then' systems in their daily routines? I'd love to hear what strategies work for others! Also Ruri, where did you get that cute icebear plush in 7:13?

My dream is to meet Ruri and have at least 3 hours conversation. I feel like I would gladly listen to every theory she expresses endlessly. As an ENFP, there’s nothing more as intriguing as listening to INTJ’s thoughts that they reformed in their mind. ✨🖤

Well thanks Ruri. I recently did start meditation before all on my own but after awhile I found it so boring and couldn't see why get headspace until I listened to your video on basically delayed gratification. It helps. Auctually wait I have to have a second opinion that personally ask someone else on.

I really love your channel Ruri. Maybe I’m biased bc I’m an introvert as well 😅 but your manner of explaining things is simple and refreshing … and (if you know, what I mean) *never feels You Tubey* lol Thank you so much, looking forward to continue learning and building a solid foundation for myself.

Thank you for sharing the video and introducing the concept of the "if-else" habit. It's quite motivating. I wanted to discuss a discovery I made regarding the survey you mentioned at the beginning. It appears there was a significant bias introduced by the researchers. They concluded that children who could delay gratification were more likely to succeed in adult life. However, it turns out that the children who chose to eat immediately often came from poorer families. In such environments, the choice is between eating now or possibly going hungry later. Consequently, the children who were able to wait were typically those from more secure and wealthy families. This observation isn't mine but comes from another individual who is a psychological scientist. It might be worth checking out.

I love meditation. I have told to others to meditate but I realize that there are some persons who don't like meditation or it doesn't work for them. What other strategies can be used to help others to be more aware about their feelings and their inner needs? I think that's what meditation is about when emotions are putting barriers inside of us, among other things.

I LOVE your content. I also wanted to add that things like addiction change the structure of the brain... the port of the brain responsible for impulse control and self actuation SHRINKS and the part of the brain responsible for habit learning and impulses GETS LARGER, which means it will be harder and harder to change or self motivate correcting negative behaviors. This can lead to depression, shame and learned helplessness, further changing the brain by triggering "fight or flight" which TURNS OFF the prefrontal cortex, and turning on the Amygdala... so the ability to think or be creative in your approach to fixing things gets harder, because the Amygdala is tasked with just REACTING. I can't understate this tho: your brain is amazing plasticity and will HEAL over time if you can figure a way to shift your paradigm and have a "moment of clarify". Changing things up and seeung new areas, spending time in nature and even just a bit of mild exercise and mediation can REALLY help but also eating foods like legumes or leafy greens can help repair the brain. ❤

Legit did this by accident as a child and have repeatedly forced myself back into this mindset without really thinking about the fact that I'm forcing it to crave difficult things. I lose control sometimes but most the time - I feel like a worthless piece of ____ if I don't create tangible things that are cool or increase my skills. That feeling is very motivating. I run away from negative feelings so hard

My self control is as perfect as it can be but this ruins my life, because it makes me waste all my opportunities. I'm not spontaneous at all, I don't take any risk which means I can't win or earn anything unless I'm the only person involved. Self control or playing it safe ruins your whole life. For example, I've never approached a woman in my life, I never dated, I never even had a conversation with a woman longer than a few seconds, I never had friends and I suck at job interviews so much that noone ever hired me no matter how qualified I was. People with ADHD are social butterflies. How hard could it be to be a social butterfly as opposed to an introvert with no social skills who is often mistaken for a mute/deaf person?

You're excited to tell this fact about ADHD because the more you know about how this brain of ours works, the more you understand yourself. Metacognition is very necessary (for all people but specially) for people whose brain is not connected on a regular basis, it could lead us towards being able to do things our way... I love your content!!
