Notice that timaeus effect doesn't force you to use him as a materiel :) Illusion of chaos is sooooo easy to put on the field with secrets of dark magic : 1 - you use his search effects, then you ritual summon him 2 - you setup your graveyard and field and you have an additional negate :)

What you want to do is bring back Magician of Chaos since they loop into each other. When Magician of Chaos is destroyed and sent to the GY while Illusion of Chaos in in your hand, you can special summon Illusion of Chaos from your hand since it has Chaos in its name. Then, after you negate your opponent's effect with Illusion, you return it to the hand and target your Magician of Chaos in the GY (since its name is Dark Magician both on the field and in the GY) to special summon it. And then you basically get to sack x+1 numbers of cards on your opponent's board (x being the number of Dark Magical Circles you have on the board, +1 being Magician of Chaos's own once-per-turn sacking ability). And since you have Magician of Chaos on the board again and Illusion of Chaos in your hand again, you can prepare the set-up again (i _believe_ Magician of Chaos will special summon Illusion of Chaos from your hand if you sack Magician using its own ability; don't quote me on that, i'm going off of memory). And this can go on unless your opponent specifically has a set trap that can stop it or some shit. Hand traps realistically won't be able to stop this loop, they still destroy Magician of Chaos and send him to the GY, which is what we want anyways if Illusion of Chaos is in our hand. I don't believe it's a hard once per turn either, so with the loop set-up, you basically can just negate repeatedly so long as you have the Magician of Chaos in the GY when you use the ability. Neither of those cards are hard once per turns i think.

I really liked these cards, specially that new kuriboh, I think it's cute and has an interesting effect good enough that he can be used in the at the very least the side-deck. (maybe) The monster that search the quick-play spell that tribute a spellcaster and special summon a spellcaster is okay, but that's it. The Timaeus Dragon is actually nice. I'll play with him to test it. The ritual it's very interesting, in fact the best card in the entire new wave of support and the fusion looks pretty damn sick, loved the artwork. Well, if you aren't also running Magician of Chaos with it, then yes, there's not really a reason to summon Illusion of Chaos since you wouldn't be getting any destruction pay-off. Those two cards are gonna be run together, and as someone who really likes playing Magician of Chaos, its easily my favorite reveal out of these cards. It essentially gives me some looping capabilities while i wait to draw Blue Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon out of my deck. Although, MAX Dragon might be a bit pointless if looping board wipes is gonna be the main focus after i get my hands on 3 copies of this card. They both can target each other with their effects. Namely, when Magician of Chaos is destroyed and sent to the GY while Illusion of Chaos in in your hand, you can special summon Illusion of Chaos from your hand since it has Chaos in its name. Then, after you negate your opponent's effect with Illusion, you return it to the hand and target your Magician of Chaos in the GY (since its name is Dark Magician both on the field and in the GY) to special summon it. And then you basically get to sack x+1 numbers of cards on your opponent's board (x being the number of Dark Magical Circles you have on the board, +1 being Magician of Chaos's own once-per-turn sacking ability). The only reason i'm excited for this is because i'm a casual player and I already own a Magician of Chaos deck. Dark Master of Chaos is probably the most impactful out of the new boss monsters. That card is fucking disgusting, and there's no drawbacks to summoning it with the Eye of Timaeus either. The new Timaeus monster, while nice, is only really a monster that has polymerization as a monster effect. It's fusion ability is not as busted as the Eye of Timaeus, but it can be used though to set up the GY (by spending itself and Dark Magician to make Dark Magician the Dragon Knight) for Dark Master of Chaos's mass banish effect, which is nice. All i'm hoping for is that these new changes will make bricking less likely to happen. Magikuriboh especially is pretty nice.

The Timaeus monster card could make the Fusion card good in the same deck as the Ritual card. Perfect hand; Ritual guy, Timaeus creature, a (spell) card to discard to Timaeus. summon Ritual guy searches Souls, Souls searches Dark Magician, Timaeus Special Summons itself then activates to fuse Ritual guy with Dark Magician, Fusion guy summons either material back and can tribute Timaeus & the other spellcaster to banish all opponents monsters if needed.

A brand new Chou Madou appears! Super Magical Warrior - Master of Chaos! He joins Super Magical Swordsman- Black Paladin, Super Magical Knight - Black Calvary, Super Magician - Black Magicians, and Super Magicial Dragon Knight - Dragon of Red-Eyes. The new Blue eyes white dragon continuous trap is pretty insane. It’s a opt magicians Soul (special from the hand or grave) or you can set any spell or trap with BEWD in its name. It has a continuous effect that prevents BEWD from being targeted. It’s only down side is it destroys all your monsters if it’s destroyed while it was face up.

And now we have a blue eyes version of eternal soul which I’d argue it’s better than eternal soul in basically every conceivable way, it does the whole special summon of blue eyes like eternal soul but it also sets basically any spell or trap that mentions blue eyes white dragon (which this effect will only get better as more cards are made that specifically mention blue eyes white dragon) unlike eternal souls which only searches dark magic attack and thousand knives which only the former is worth a damn. It’s destroy all monsters you control effect only triggers when it’s specifically sent to the graveyard and blue eyes has a few ways to nullify this drawback with Azure eyes destruction protection effect for all dragons you control or generic dragon cards like return of the dragon lords and banishing or bouncing the trap completely nullifies the drawback meanwhile if eternal soul leaves the field for any reason, unless you have monsters that can’t be destroyed by your own effects say goodbye to your entire field. The only thing eternal soul has over this blue eyes white dragon equivalent is that it has a stronger protection effect on your dark magicians vs just targeting protection but blue eyes already has many cards that protect your monsters from destruction effects that it’s barely a loss in the grand scheme of things.

As for the Kuriboh, it’s so close to being good, all it had to do is also negate the damage (or even incorporate winged Kuriboh’s damage protection as well which would make it a great going second card) and it’d basically be a perfect retrain for the original Kuriboh without completely invalidating the original as the original with still have a place in other decks or in a Kuriboh deck since this one requires you to basically special summon a dark magican/dark magician girl so it’s limited in a dark magician or magicians girls deck.

I just made a Hermos retrain. Legendary Dragon Hermos(Because you know they're gonna call Timeaus "Legendary Dragon Timaeus" in the TCG) "This card's name becomes "The Claw of Hermos". If you control exactly 1 monster, you can special summon this card from the Hand. This card cannot be used to special summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion monsters. You can tribute this card and 1 monster you control, or in the Hand, to special summon a Fusion monster from the Extra Deack, or GY, that inculdes "The Claw of Hermos" in it's effect text."

Oh boy, illusion of chaos... it's just 6 extra copies of magician souls and it shuffles itself back into the deck meaning you can use the illusion of chaos as the target for it. Allowing effectivly every deck to run a souls package without bricking nearly as much.
