Hey Thomas. Just a suggestion, go back and look at your labels again. Vital Proteins is 2 scoops for 20g. Orgain is 1 scoop for 10g or 2 scoops for 20g. Exactly the same as each other, but Orgain includes Vit C and 50 super foods. Please let us know if you review this again if you consider the collegen equivalent in both products. Thank you!

Hi THOMAS, I’m a medical scientist and an athlete. I find it amazing to watch and listen to you research labels, exactly the way I do. Most collagens provide 1 and 3 for hair skin and nails. However, Ancient Nutrition and Natures Plus provide additional types such as 1, 2,3,4,5 and 10. Moreover, facilitating joints, mobility, skin, tendons, bones, muscles, cell health and growth; just to name a few lol. I would love to have your take on this fact. Once I discovered you, I was hooked!! I have followed you for the last five years because you love Biochemistry and Keto as much as I do. Although, I have practiced fasting as well as intermittent fasting before it was “a thing”, since the 70’s…Finally, someone like you comes along and provides the science behind all things Keto, along with product knowledge. For this, I am beyond blessed. I am 64 years old with the Bio-chemistries of a 30-year-old. I don’t have health issues, by the grace of god and constantly mistaken for someone 44 or younger. Thank you for maintaining such a huge presence in the world! Your high standard of excellence and moral character speaks volumes. You are a man among men! I refer your name to people every single day. ❤️🙏❤️

Yeah, I'm not seeing how he highly recommends most some of these. I'm no Dr or scientist, but every research I've done comes to the same conclusion: If you don't get the other collagen types, but go with just 1 and 3 as his recommendations do, you're shorting yourself. And at these prices, it's foolish to not get the most benefit you can.

I love Vital Proteins. A few years ago before I retired, I started having trouble with my joints and walking. I didn't have a car so that was a problem. My knees would just buckle without any warning and it scared me so much! I never actually fell but I never knew when it would happen. I was really weak in my knees and couldn't even take the stairs except like a child...one step at a time. I thought I was going to need one of those motorized wheel chairs, I really did. And yes, I was obese so that didn't help matters. After praying about it, I discovered Vital Proteins and started taking that. My skin, nails and hair just glowed...unbelievably so! But my knees...I tell you, they got so much better until now I am able to walk without any hesitation at all and take the stairs like a big girl, lol!!! I have no joint pain of any kind and I walk everywhere. I've also lost 106 lbs thanks to IF since then but I enjoyed all of these benefits before I lost the weight. It is really amazing how well it has worked and if I miss too many days, my knees will start to buckle again. Now I can enjoy my retirement without fear of falling, yippee!! It's expensive compared to other brands but my well-being is worth it. I love that stuff!!!

It depends what you want the collagen for. Marine (mainly type 1) is better than Bovine for skin/hair/nails. Liquid is more bioavailability than powder. And individual doses in glass bottles are better than plastic tubs as collagen is very susceptible to oxidation which reduces effectiveness.

Their is certain company that is not available in stores but instead has everyday people selling for them (if you catch my drift) Me personally I don’t support this kind of structure, but I know many do. Their claims are that their product is superior to everything listed in your video, because it is in liquid form. Now I am a long time user of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. This was my question exactly. I have VP collagen protein powder, and juts hopped on the liquid collagen train to see if it works better via those same structures mentioned above (super skeptical by trying). First thing - I hate the taste of the current liquid collagen I’m using. Too sweet, and defiantly has fishy aftertaste. Smell is also awful. So definitely interested to see what Thomas has to say.

@@charmagnemuzinich4443 My doc explained it to me this way, women’s hormone levels decline and then sharply drop off during menopause. As a result, this can throw off the balance of the body's chemistry, and potentially lead to issues with DHT levels. Some women experience increased sensitivity to testosterone and DHT during menopause, which exacerbates hair loss and thinning. By applying the estradiol to the scalp, it neutralizes the DHT. She applied for a patent for this but said Big Pharma beat her to it (I think).Hope this explanation helps you. I know how devastating it is to watch your hair fall out.

Hey Thomas, any chance of doing a video on the #KetoMath breakdown of reading/understanding the Nutrition Facts on packaging? Especially the ones with subsections (i.e. Fats & Carbs) "So it says that this item has 14 g of Fat, with 5.5 g coming from Saturated Fats, and 0 g Trans Fats -- for someone on a Keto Diet that means..." (I've also seen Polyunsaturated Fats & Monounsaturated Fats starting to be listed on some packaging, but that seems to mostly be on oils) "This item also says that it has 8 g of Carbs, with 2 g being Fiber, 5 g coming from Sugar and 4 of those coming from Sugar Alcohols -- for someone on a Keto Diet that means..." I'm still relatively new to Keto, and I think I get the gist of it, but you've always got a clear & concise way of explaining things, so it would definitely help with understanding.

I wouldn't worry to much about the brand name guys. Its the collagen manufacturer that is the key. Brands repack, flavour and add other good stuff like vitamins. The production of collagen happens by only a handful of companies. Personally I look for the Peptan logo ;). If you know you know.

He approved the primal kitchen but then disqualified cause he messed up identifying the orgain then said "you're getting less collagen" to cover up. Yet orgain has 8 more 20g servings than primal kitchen...make it make sense man. Just have integrity and said you made a wrong assumption...orgain isn't usually "just the peptides. Now I'm starting to think he didn't just get his muscles through his promoted diet but some PEDs or TRT too

I take daily: Walmart Equate Collagen Peptides Type 1 & 3 powder. It's grass fed hydrolyzed bovine collagen. A month's supply of 10g per day is only $12.00, so I buy two cannisters for a total of $24.00 and take 20g per day. That saves me $20.00 a month because I would have to pay $44.00 to take 20g per day of Vital Proteins or Garden of Life brands.

Hi Thomas! Recently found your channel, you've helped me improve my overall health and I am very appreciative of all the knowledge you share with us. For the Orgain brand collagen, I noticed the container lists the serving size as an 11g scoop that gives 10g of collagen and I'm guessing 1g of the other superfood ingredients. Is that still too low collagen or are you basing your not approved rating on a 20g scoop? Orgain is the most affordable of the options you went over around me and I'm on a tight budget so I want to consider it if it's Thomas approved. Thanks!

I just received a 40oz tub of Carlyle Multi Collagen. At first I saw 115 servings for $36, but now I see they're 10g servings. Your 20g recommendation makes it 57.5 servings, but at 63¢ per, it's still not a bad deal. They feature bovine, fish, chicken, and curiously "Eggshell Membrane Collagen" that provides type I, V, and X which I hadn't heard of before. It may be a minor benefit, but you know, "diversity." There is no Vitamin C, but I figure that's covered by the backlog of multivitamins I'm taking until they're gone.
