Re: melatonin and sleep issues: When I was having a ton of trouble with fixing my sleep, my doctor actually prescribed me camping with no electric light. You finish eating by the time it gets dark because you can’t really cook in the dark, even with a fire (it’s just a lot of bother), and you just let yourself be tired when it’s dark and wake up when the sun comes back up. Worked like a charm in a couple of days. Weirdest Rx I’ve ever been given, but he knew what he was about.

thats because your pineal gland controls melatonin, serotonin. its called your 3rd eye, or the minds eye. it receives light or lack of from your eyes. I believe screen time is the number one cause of sleep disorders. most people just want supplements or magic pharmaceuticals. You are lucky to have a good doctor. research the Pineal gland, and learn to help decalcify it. avoid flouride. the number 2 cause of sleep issues, in my opinion.

I love all of your videos. :) As a microbiologist, one thing I would like to add about probiotics.... I think it is very important to confirm that the cfu's in the guaranteed analysis do NOT contain an asterisks that mentions "at the time of manufacturing". If it does, then the manufacturing is basically saying that the strains are more than likely dead by the time they reach the shelf. Without "at the time of manufacturing" the company is standing behind their product and guaranteeing the strains survive at least until the expiration date printed on the bottle. I scoured the internet for a copy of the Seed label to see what it says but I was unable to find one.

another good source of probiotics are the kombucha fermented probiotic drinks in the fruit and vegetable section of the higher end grocery stores on the health drink shelf ... they're awesome and they quickly help get rid of "the virus" that has plagued the world the last 2 years .. but you have to sip them , do not chug the drink... one bottle drink should last about one whole day when sipping .. and keep it refrigerated

@@bandsbusy3556 Well, that's a tricky question. First off, not all natural products are effective for weight loss (here's looking at you: raspberry ketones), and even if they are, natural doesn't necessarily mean safe. That being said, there are some herbs that have been shown to have positive effects on your health when used in combination with other natural products or medications. Ginseng is known to boost your metabolism and suppress appetite and green tea has been linked to suppressing appetite as well; both of these make sense as fat-burning supplements.

@@theexipureteam3460 my comment has absolutely nothing to do with weight loss.. I love this. I avoided Walmart and drugstore vitamins. I haven’t trusted them from reports about a lot of their brands were way off in how much of a nutrient was actually in the pill or capsule form. I would love to see an extended video on Walmart vitamins. I’m thinking the bad press may have caused those companies to straighten up. With food prices rising it puts a strain on me purchasing from my privately owned health food store. I hope I can find online a site that I think I can trust for info given. It’s so maddening and sad that there is so much false information on the internet. May all liars be brought to justice by my Father!!!

I think the point is, there is SO many we need to educate ourselves. Besides, even good social media influencers push the companies/supplements that pay their bills. Doesn’t make them bad or sell outs. It’s just how business is done. I like that he gave us as much info as he could in the amount of time given. He did list some brands he trusts too throughout. I’d say go into settings and turn playback speed to slower. He’s so wanting to get the info out there that he steamrolls me sometimes. That’s not a “him” issue, it’s a “me” issue, and that helps. After that I sit down with a pen and paper and write down notes. I totally get why ur asking for brands and such, but think of it as the old saying, “Give a man a fish” vs “teach a man to fish” 😆✌️

When it comes to fish oil I just stick to wild caught salmon. Even if it’s store bought it is still beneficial. A couple small servings a week has amazing inflammation benefits. Walmart does sell Garden of Life multis and other supplements. They’re all whole food and organic. I work at nights and really it falls to just having good sleeping conditions. Painting the room black/gray and a good set of blackout curtains for me are a must for day sleeping. It sounds horrible, but there alot of nice blacked out room paint scheme ideas on pinterest that look luxurious as well as functional. A Lavendar body wash in shower and lavender plant on the night stand have helped me. You can also put Lavendar oil in a favorite shampoo or wash. The body only produces a small amount of Melatonin, so supplementing will be over kill. Most pills come in 3 or 5 mg and I've seen as much as 10 or 15 mg. Way too much. I use a sleep spray that only has 1.5mg of Melatonin, Valerian Root, and Ashwaganda, but only rarely and if I can't get to sleep right away. I usually take a magnesium, though. For fasting, I include my sleep time, so It's easier to get out the door, if you only prep your meal/supplements for work and gym time, instead of eating when you get up or before work. Even better to prepare this stuff after dinner the night before, so you don't snack unnecessarily.

For best Zinc absorption, divide dose into halves. Will increase absorption rate massively as the upper absorption limit is somewhere at 15mg at a time.

When I was pregnant with my first kiddo, back in 2008, my OB suggested I take Flintstone vitamins! Luckily I was all about a healthy pregnancy and even though there wasn’t anywhere close to the info that’s out there now I was able to do my own research and find more suitable supplements. Thank goodness! 🤣

Thomas, have you ever contacted stores like Walmart and say you have suggestions on improving the vitamin formulae/recipies they purchase from the vitamin manufacturers? I'd think you're in a great position with your history to give guidance.

Thomas, I have been a true fan of yours for years. I can't thank you enough for you educating us all. I love your professional advice on the taking the top supplements. I took Vitamin D+K2 and I got really sick. Otherwise, I take most of all the other supplements you have suggested, but I need to also include Chromium, Cod Liver Oil and Acetyl-L Carnitine.I also take the brand "now" Magtein, which has Magnesium L-Threonate thank you confirming that is a great supplement. I also wanted to ask, is it important to take Resveratrol as well? Thank you so much for your support!!!

Thanks for the tips! Kirkland Mature Adult seems to tick most of the boxes for a cheaper vitamin. Boron included, vit A at 83%, no dyes, or 'sugars.' I always break the pill in half and take half with lunch and half with dinner. Supposedly you retain more and pee less out; and always with meals.

I visited my local Walmart today and got a spread of those you suggested, got them all ready for a week's worth of dosages.....I know I don't eat right and am 60+.....hoping to actually feel a difference by doing this...I've never been a disciplined vitamin/mineral taker. Wish me luck! And thanks again.!
