Great video. I've never thought about progression outside of sets reps and technique

brilliant content! As far as video ideas, please make more videos exactly like this. black board videos about programming etc. for the average Joe who wants to look jacked and get strong not specific for powerlifters. I would appreciate a video about programming or setting up a template to learn technique. Thank you very much for sharing so much great content

I think Bald Omni-man has a really good system of progression, especially on bench. I may be off a bit But I think his general Idea would be something like doing TnG close grip taken to plateau, then pause close grip, then larsen cg, then larsen pause cg, then larsen spoto cg etc. etc.

Didn't even touch on skill, or balance. For example, I started training agility ladders. I haven't increased my run speed or anything, but my skill at the movement has definitely increased after just a couple sessions. Or doing movements on a bosu ball instead of the floor. You don't have to increase the load, but you might really struggle with the movement.

Couple follow up questions for you. How do you determine what "better" is on the agility ladder? Is it based on the efficiency of your movement? (time or or ability to maintain a smaller base of support) Or is it the speed at which you completed it? Also with the bosu ball example you are challenging your ability to maintain your center of gravity and reducing the stability of your base of support. You are using the same modes of progression but calling them different things. We are on the same team here

another question is how do you determine an increase of skill? Or rather what modes of progression do you use to make that differentiation?

If time and distance remain the same, but "skill" improved that means you have progressed on economy and endurance.

@@eliteftsofficial wasnt trying to croticize at all, just expand! Yeah, I guess you could think of it as the same thing.

@@eliteftsofficial for me, increasing skill just means making less misteps, haha. But for other athletic movements it might be improving aim or consistency, maybe?

Long nerdy videos like this would really benefit from time stamps AND transition titles/effects from one to another. You have to think, do people REALLY have a 10 minute attention span?
@bestwesterner3 жыл бұрын
Time stamps are always helpful, additional effects not always, and yes people DO have 10 minute+ attention spans.
