You're wrong, Cinelike-D doesn't suck that much

Bought your cinelike-d luts and they are a game changer!!!!! People cannot believe the finished product is an 8 bit camera. LOVE my G95 (bought in 2019) and still have felt NO need to 'upgrade' to the GH models. Your luts have my heels dug in that much deeper.

Since the GH4- GH5 - GH6 -S5ii - and now the S9, I only...ONLY shoot in Cine-D !!! Out the camera, it is just cleaner, less noisey, requires less work in post, at times will get greenlit by client as-is, and many times, requires no lut...and only simply adjustments to "spice" it up. Cine-D is the move, for sure !

Back when the GH5s was King o’ the Hill, it was a thing (among the Cognoscenti) that Cine-D was preferable to V-log L in Low Light scenes . . . . . Less noise in the Shadows!!

I use cined2 with a leeming LUT burned in camera on the S5ii - i use if for talking heads with controlled lighting and my clients have no complaints. It seems to require minimal correction out of the box.

As much as i am an a - get your look in camera so you can edit and turn around fast - I also Love the idea of not having to use diffusion filters in camera. I think the world is waaaaay too focussed on Vlog and log profiles in general- i use it when i absolutely have to find an extra half stop of dr - but for the time and great look in camera i am all about natural in camera - shot a bit desaturated and de sharpened. But suggesting such a thing can cause one to be treated like a heretic - usually by people that don't have real project turn around pressure (which is fine) Amazing things can be done with shadow / highlight settings in camera too - you can really cheat a lot of extr dynamic range there too.

I agree, I'm totally for working with what you can get in camera and tweaking it after to get a desired look. Vlog is great but only really for the ability massage the image or match it to other cameras. I used cine-V in so many of my main channel videos because it gave me the exact look i was going for in post.

Hi Wow thanks for the video I use Cinematch and convert every camera to arri log c (P6K 4K,GH5,GH5s, S5org,S5iiX) to match in a HDR workflownin resolve. Nice way to use the program you have but HDR pipeline in cinematch is worth the try...but thanks a lot I was searching a way to make use of my old GH4 Cine D...I will buy your LUT because CINE D is the best in GH4 One question when using your Cine D to Vlog L lut will you correct cine D in camera -5 saturation,-5 NR,-5 sharpness or not thx a lot Fil

Yeah I turn saturation and contrast to -5 in camera with my footage! Good question!

@@nigelbarrostoo I did buy your LUT pack because of your conversion LUT Cine D to Vlog L and because I am a fan to revive my GH4 in my multicam music setup probably as a inside piano cam because it is so small...I think imho a GH9ii featured camera in a small body like GH4 would have been great...and I have a USA model without time limit like the EU models...it was a time when all videocameras had an extra tax on it in EU

On the gh5 i do cineD in well lit environments like broad sunlight, and the rest with HLG

Best thing to do with CineD is to get the exact look in camera and just slightly tweak it in post. It's not that good to be stretching around what is essentially a rec.709/srgb video
