This campaign is so strange, telling the story of some local volunteer on British side while Rommel hops around the desert with his merry band of about 30 guys. What even is the scale of this conflict? Funnily enough CoH1 campaign mission 4 is also defensive, and done so much better this is starting to feel farcical.

It is. The ‘boss’ Black Prince tank didn’t even exist. It was a late war prototype.

@@mackenzieblair8135 Yeah, much like a Tiger in Africa somehow before Rommel even earned his nickname... I think the campaign tried desperately to show off cool stuff early to retain interest, but the execution is just stupid.

​@@forlornfoe The Tiger Tanks did arrive....late in the war in North Africa.Rommel did command tanks but most likely he commanded either a Panzer 3 or a Panzer IV during the campaign.Yeah,It's way too early for Tiger Tanks to arrive in North Africa.I'm not even that much of an expert but I think that's what it is.

This is not an historically accurate campaign. Its just a romantic version of what the propaganda of the time tells about Rommel. A general that was so genius when he defeated his enemies when they had no choice than retreat or die, but when he was put on the same situation... "Ops! I feel sick, I must go on vacation! Good luck guys!" And that happened in two crucial moments of the campaign: before the second battle of El-Alamein snd after his disastrous loss in the campaign of Tunisia. But fortunately some pious soul have managed to recover his name by putting an italian commander in charge every time things went bad, so the fault of those disasters would have fallen over the Italians. Like Messe that was tasked to fix the campaign of Tunisia with the great forces made up by putting togheter the scraps of Rommel Afrika Korps after the Second Battle of El Alamein. Propaganda is so confortable, isnt it?

@@danielefabbro822 There was plenty of propaganda flying around on both sides for sure, and I have no illusions of Rommel being a completely flawless commander (and the myth of "cowardly Italian soldier" is infuriating). But I have a huge problem with Rommel himself leading only a tiny force and apparently supported only by almighty "HQ" that sends him surprise Tigers for the heck of it. This is a conflict fought by hundreds of thousands of men and encompassing some 2000 km of coastline alone. If you learned about the world war in Africa from this game only, what would it be? A children's sandbox. Of course CoH depicts squad-size warfare, but at least the previous games show the scale and war effort in form of maps, narration and cutscenes.

The africa campaign play german faction should be narrative of german soldier. Why narrative a native of Benghazi of german campaign was absolutely ridiculous

@@VulcanHDGaming it runs better, but the campaign REALLY doesn't work for me, and the graphics are a step closer to cartoonish from my perspective. A small step, but still. My main point is that from what I seek in my historical RTS, it's at best could be a dlc to the second game, which is kind of a letdown, considering leaps the technology has made since it. Plus, it doesn't come close to the first game, which is kinda sad. For me it's like DoW 1->3. More arcady, more cartoonish, lacks some features from the first one while not adding anything that would justify the change.

I really like gameplay ;) too bad rest is rather subpar. Coh 1 had simple but great story :)

@@125discipline2 Hopefully with the whole stuff around Hogwarts Legacy gaming community will respond to bullying with bullying with action against action. These people need to be treated with same spite they have for us because only fear will work on them.

The story would have been great if you followed the story of the male character on the allied side, but you play the axis? It's a bit weird in that regard.

@@VulcanHDGaming In today atmosphere having German story teller would have devs marked as nazi. notice how its not even British soldier, but indigeous Lybian and Jewish one at that. They wanted to cram in as many diversity identifiers as they could just to protect themselves from death threats just for having German campaign. I mean look at Hogwarts. BTW, cant wait for more of your content, Loved your Army General Campaigns for Steel Division 2. Just wish i could fast forward the time few weeks and not have to wait :D

Denuvo, and too small a game so it wont be. About 10% performance loss just from DRM.

This game is $99AUD and I honestly can't see why. It offers nothing that COH1/2 don't already provide. If anything it looks worse and is far too arcadey.
