There is loads of people struggling but they able to cope without going out shop lifting. The kids of today are not malnutrition in this country, they are more obese from lack of exercise. And are fed crap foods by their parents.

God we don’t live in the Victorian era where if they didn’t work they didn’t eat , they get benefits now and if they choose to smoke which are £10or more a packet, nail bars are full of young mums with babies.,and got up to date mobiles so don’t give me that people are starving here,

Stealing from a supermarket is better than stealing from a small business but stealing is still stealing 🤷
@horace93418 ай бұрын
My wife runs a food bank and she doesn’t need to steal food. People are very generous in general and put lots into the baskets at the local supermarkets, the said supermarkets also donate a very generous amount of food and money with local businesses doing the same. The food bank is or at least should be a short term solution to help people out of financial difficulties, and all her clients now have to be referred by social services or probation services etc. This is purely to put a stop to the abuse that was going on a couple of years ago by people who thought they had a right to something that was done voluntarily and relied on donations. Any verbal abuse received and the person is struck off the list, many clients have a sense of entitlement that can very often trigger verbal abuse. Sounds like this guys organisation is purely feeding this sort of entitlement.

JAMES I like your boldness and you tackle an issue head on. This guy is full of himself and all he’s doing is jaw jaw. That is shop lifting indirectly you removed it without intention of not paying for it. What your suppose to do is pay for the goods at the till then before you walk out place it in the give away bin. That’s shop lifting indirectly. It also means that these items after paying for them is from YOU!

I thought he was about 18. ! With 30 years experience of life surely he should know better..im with James I usually donate about 20quid a week to food banks..not any more you trumpet! Well done you pillock!

If someone is hungry I have no issue with shoplifting food , I have no issue with a mum or dad taking baby basic product if they are living from hand to mouth. To be honest James you are never going to have to go food bank . This lad in my opinion is a bit extreme in his actions and could get into trouble however he’s ok by my book .

Who does he thinks pays for the food he or anyone steals?. The supermarkets? or the honest people like pensioners or low income families? Theft increases the shelf price on all goods That then ends up forcing even more people into poverty. This person (i use the term loosely) is unbelievable.

Good lad for making the case about food shortages with these 2 presenters who seem to have inflated stomachs and inflated egos and salaries for berating and trying to disclaim that people are struggling. I don't agree that shoplifting is the answer and his efforts could be better by lobbying government for a food subsidy for people struggling. In the absence of any governmental help what are people supposed to do!
