You should make a Quality build for the Elden Ring DLC

I'm thinking of a 26/STR/ 40/DEX/ 25/FTH/ stat spread to two hand quality weapons and be able to utilize support and armament enchanting incantations.

Honestly, I will go against your proposition and say the DLC will lean much more heavily on Int/fth stuff by the look of it, so physical builds like Quality might get shafted.

Hello from the future. You were definitely wrong, but I'm sure you know that. Faith got some new toys, strength got a few new things, the dex folks are happy.......int got a few new spells but no weapons. Quality ATE well this DLC. I literally just swapped to quality for the first time because of it.

I love quality builds, especially in Elden bing. I have a lvl 200 quality build and I can use pretty much every weapon. I also have 16 faith and int, which allows me to use stuff like the Miquellen knight swords, crystal swords the death poker and a bunch of other faith and int weapons. Sure quality doesn’t do the most damage, but it’s reliable damage with reliable weapons and ashes. Quality is underrated

That's pretty much what I've gone for on my PC character. Character is a lvl 168 quality build with 34 strength and 50 dex. It is currently using a GUGs with a lightning infusion but it also does good damage with fire, cold, and of course quality. The main purpose of the build though was to be able to use some of the heaviest strength weapons on an optimized lightning infusion. This is also good because it means that no matter which damage type is best, I can comfortably rotate between them with more than satisfactory damage output. And since I can use big bonk sticks, it also means my stance damage will be high.

If you’re above RL250 I’d say you’re a quality build; if you have all the major damage stats leveled beyond 30, you’re a quality build. I think the DLC will factor this in: we’ve been playing the game for two years, all of us now quality builds, so it’s IMO that quality builds will get devoured in the DLC. Str/Int, Dex/Faith, or any combination of those will be best for DLC, I think

In Souls games I usually make my first character a quality build so I can try out as many weapons as possible. I tried to do the same thing in ER, but in the end it ended up turning into a str build with like 25 faith

I do the same in all souls like games. I took my Elden ring quality and started adding faith and arc so that he can use more weapons. Taking him to maybe lvl 200

I wish it was 30, but unfortunately the character slot limit is 10. Not enough slots for all the builds.

If you’re talking about endgame levels, saying quality should aim for 40/40 is kinda misleading. Sure it will do fine, particularly for PvE, but that’s not the softcap for quality builds anymore, and if you have the points you should certainly pump those stats higher.

You could definitely go higher if you wanted. The 40/40 is mainly to keep my build at 130 so I can get lots of invasions but if you don’t care about PVP you can definitely go up to 50 or 60

Quality builds do the less amount of damage compared to strength or dex. Unless you are level 220 or later it is a bad idea.

False, I have a quality build and it’s right armament attack power is 760 along with the scaling and it does about 1200+ damage per hit 50 str and 50 dex

please dont make a quality build youll do less damage than if you just made a strength or dex build that meets the opposite stats requirements for the given weapon, a strength infused nagakiba will do more damage than a quality one with equal stat investment

@@Shendapy it's not, but he is kind of right : very few weapons scale well quality-wise in ER unfortunately. None actually if you don't count the _'unique'_ weapons (those that scale with somber smithing stones). rather, none do under the "meta" level (between 120 and 150), so you'd need an NG+ build to do that and reach above at least 70/70. If i remember correctly the earliest you can make it work is with Sword of Milos (with 54/54 split)
