One of the most quotable episodes so far. When you said, "Let's go ahead and make what really matters: some Trap music," I shot milk from my nose and I haven't had milk since breakfast. Also glad that someone finally pointed out that C Major and A Minor are the most racist scales of the bunch, but that shouldn't dissuade anyone from using them. Even when an institution is corrupt, you've gotta take whatever advantages from it while you're waiting (waiting) waiting on the world to change. Subvert the system from the inside. Also learned about some new Ableton features. Thanks for the upload!

I'm confused by the fact that a tuner is needed: if it said that the note being played by the synth was a c, why did the tuner give a different note? please help someone?
@yousuckatproducing7 жыл бұрын
sometimes samples/synths aren't actually the same note as the key you're pressing. For example if I sampled a synth playing a G note and dropped it into a simpler, playing a C on my keyboard would result in the G, instead of the correct pitch.

@yousuckatproducing8 жыл бұрын
not sure about maschine, any of ya'll got any ideas?
@fjoiewafno6 жыл бұрын
In Maschine I'm pretty sure all the sounds come standardized so when you press C it is C. For sounds I get from the internet, if it doesn't state what key it's in I use a tuning app of my phone (like one you'd use for a guitar) that was free, and just put it up toward the speaker. It works for sounds that are more normal and less distorted/crazy sounding. It's far from perfect but it's helped me out a couple times when I couldn't figure it out by ear

great and freaking funny vid once again. I am wondering though. This is about how to get the bass and synth in tune. Let's say I add in more instruments. Should one always run these through a tuner? I do it by ear but often time things seem (slightly) off, making it eventually sound less pro. Basically is the root note of your bass essential for all your other sounds (do they need to be in the same key)??
