For me, Justin is quite a decent singer. He can sing and his voice is beautiful. His technique may be not that great but he is still able to sing. I actually think that he's an agile singer which is so cool.
@littlelou0502 жыл бұрын
that's why he's overlooked. he doesn't put enough light on his actual work. and sticks to the bare minimum. which means no one expects anything other than some alright performances now and then. it's a shame he went downhill because for a minute there he had promising potential.
@nightingale47862 жыл бұрын
personally in my opinion, i think justin's biggest strength actually isn't in his vocal performance, stage presence etc. for me, his biggest strength has always been his ability to emote the lyrics of whatever he's singing in complete sincerity. like what other 15 year old kid who sounds like an actual baby convincingly sing 'your world is my world and my fight is your fight ' and make it believable, or take an ed sheeran song and sing it in a way where it sounds like his own story instead (love yourself)? i've never really been a big fan and as a teenager actively avoided his music for stupid reasons lol, but i can see why he is immensely popular despite not really being a great singer.

I personally love Camila's voice so much, but i understand it's not for everyone and for some people she can sounds pretty annoying. Her voice is naturally high-pitched, nasal, little whiny and little raspy, and surprisingly I love it, but i'm ok when somebody says she sounds annoying, because once when i had really bad mood and heard her, i was also little annoyed by her voice, it's ok if you don't like her voice until you're still respectful to her. I have some artists that i think about them similar things too and i'm not really hating on them, i still have respect for them. Camila has pretty promising lower register and i'd be love to see her explore it and use it more, because this is where her tone shine and sounds pleasant for most people. Even though her agility is little hit or miss, she's capable of some very good runs and in this era she's actually little improving. Her belt is also getting better, slowly but it's getting better, her falsetto and head voice also have potential. The one thing i love about Camila as a vocalist is she wants to improve, i can see some progress from her since Romance era, more ease, less tension, better musicality. She's definitely improving and even her voice is very slowly becoming less nasal, i'm very interest how she'll sound in let's say 3 years since now if she'll continue this way.

i would just like to add that it is important to not just use the media for any and all information. especially when it comes to celebrities. sure, there are things to criticise her for. but she not the idea that's been pushed out recently. she doesn't actually create problems for no reason like it's displayed. the yogurt shop situation was blown out of proportion. she was talking about a very specific label that did say "guilt free", she never came for anyone with medical conditions and the correct labels for those things. i believe on instagram she did post pictures of the labels on her story aswell. the shop wasn't negatively impacted and she apologised for the misunderstanding straight away. in fact, since then, more people have come out and shone light on pro ed labels and marketing. she was targeted solely because she's demi lovato. a similar case was her joke about the word alien. yes, it was a joke. she doesn't actually care that much about the paranormal, she's not crazy nor stupid. the docu was for fun. the way society mocks mental illness and makes it someone's entire self is disgusting. there's nothing "wrong" with her. she's a normal fucking person who deserves respect, especially for all they've done despite the backlash. if you take a good look at everything she's hated for, actually look at the facts, you'll see that she's hardly ever actually in the wrong lmao.

@@littlelou050 It wasn't blown out of proportion The "guilt free" was an example however Demi was triggered about the sugar free and gluten free options and she even posted about it. Not considering that there are people who cannot consume products with sugar and gluten without adverse effects. With her platform, it could have really taken their business under but fortunately most noticed and called out the BS in her posts attacking the Froyo shop. The "apology" was her saying that she wasn't able to get her yoghurt and that she was willing to meet them halfway. People are rightfully saying that what she did was very entitled and bratty. Some of you really need to stop the celeb worship mentality and call a spade, a spade just like you would if your next door neighbors or a random person at a shop was behaving like this.

This is so silly. She’s female and presents as female. There is no third gender or need to refer to people by non male or female pronouns if you do know their gender. There is no biological impetus for identifying as neither male or female. It’s purely social contagion and wanting to stand out. Being female and feeling you don’t fit with everything traditionally females have been associated with doesn’t make you non female. I get you are probably young so you grew up learning this is a legitimate thing but if these people don’t have gender dysphoria then there’s really no incentive for me and others to oblige creating a new gender for them and using different pronouns. Actual trans people have gender dysphoria which leads them to want to change their physical appearance to the opposite gender. This is due to a biological and psychological disconnect between their gender identity and their actual gender. Since there is no cure for gender dysphoria right now, obliging their change in gender helps them. But with non binary people there is no gender dysphoria because there is no biological and psychological disconnect from their actual gender and the one they psychologically feel like because there is no biological third gender. There is no logic to legitimize it. It is purely just a trend and social contagion like being emo or goth was back when I was growing up. If you disagree then please tell me if you would call Demi black if she identified as black. Would you call her dog/cat if she said those were her pronouns? Would you say she was a horse if she identified as a horse?

Since the start lot of people tend to minimize her vocals abilities with constantly saying "yeah she's good but do you know Solar /Wheein ?" (I love Solar and Wheein by the way) but being reconize even by her own fandom as a great vocalist is hard for her. And yes she isn't the most technical vocalist in kpop or even in Mamamoo but she's style a really really good vocalist with a wild range (most developed in mamamoo in my opinion) with crazy falsetto and raspy vocals that can kill everybody (that's my biased time XD) And yes her vocal technique and control need some improvement but that doesn't impact that she's amazing as a vocalist because the improvement in question can put in a really godlike level (biased again sorry) I really think sad that today people continu to think that Hwasa is just a sexy performer with average vocals when she's really pretty talented and I don't kinda surprise that you receved that much of complains about Hwasa when you consider how people tend to see her (Don't know if I have to feel happy that people start to defend her now or sad because toxic behavior aren't something to praise if it was the case)

I think nobody actually thinks Hwasa is an average vocalist, or an average lead vocal, she is for sure outstanding and has a head voice that kills me But I think that with overhyped he means that, when making comparison with other lead vocalists, people automatically place her at the top even without giving the chance to listen and analyze other singer's strengths

So what?you do realize he doesn't use the best clips of many other vocalists right?That shows that he isn't "biased" when it comes to Ariana like many stans of her complain because Ariana isn't the only one he doesn't use the best clips in his video. This video is just to prove the point that he doesn't "hate" some singers he is claimed to, including Ariana. Plus I think he doesn't have to use the "best" clips for every singer,if the clip used proves his point, that's ok.

Even to this day one of the things that I'm completely sure it's that one day, everyone will see that they were all wrong about the fro yo thing. I genuinely don't think Demi was wrong about it and that's something that over and over again happens to Demi. She say things and theres haters everywhere and a couple years later people rethink about what she said. It was like that when she said bad blood promote women fighting against each other, it was like that when she said the music industry dont represent all bodies in a era where everyone on music videos were skinny as fuck, and later when she said that Gaga taking a women to puke on her body was not nice. That's exactly the same. Demi has some mistakes mas the fro yo stuff was not one of them. She was complaining about something writin on something that they were selling that was like "Eat without guilt". All she was saying is that for people with Eating Disorders that was already something to make you think about guilt. After that people were saying that the product was made for people with diabetes, so Demi shouldnt complain. But people with diabetes shouldnt be reading this on products as well, for me, cuz when they eat something with sugar on a day that it was a necessity , that people with diabetes should feel guilty? Demi was really not wrong about it, and even with this, she asked for forgiveness and asked for the people who works on the store if they want help with marketing and stuff like that. But Demi is truly someone that people loves to hate. I'm already seeing threads on twitter about the diet culture on products... Just wait like... 4 years from now.

yeah, this to...people always like to say "i don't like demi as a person" like what? you don't know them. just what you hear online. plus, there's nothing they have done that's ever been racist, homophobic, or problematic in that sort of nature. just instances where ppl were "annoyed" so they painted demi as a bad person.

I don't think you're a hypocrite but didn't you say in you're ranking lead vocalists video with Hwasa in it (not the top 10 one) that you chose Hwasa for the video instead of Solar because she doesn't really have a reputation of being a powerhouse vocalist. But in this video, you said that she's a overhyped vocalist. It's just a little confusing to me. And i'm not coming for your neck because you already know how I feel about you. It's just slightly contradicting to me. And of course Hwasa stans are going to be all over her and see her as a goddess that can do no wrong. I mean you can't really blame them. That's the case with every star that has fans that are all over them.

I can only speak for myself, in that I don't think that you hate Ariana necessarily. I just think that you could better highlight the ways that she has improved and try harder to find examples of that improvement. Maybe you just aren't invested enough in her as an artist to do that homework, but it would probably line up your critiques of her overall vocal ability more equally with where she currently is as a vocalist. It's not a matter of purposely dunking on her, just not taking into enough account, her evolution, when critiquing her. There are things you can say she needs to work on, like you have, but it would be great to see some credit given to the things she has already improved on, as well. It's just about balance. Be critical without being overly negative.

My thing is when it comes to ranking kpop artists based on technique you aren't always accurate. Such as commenting Seulgi>Hwasa when it is actually Hwasa>Seulgi. Hwasa support range at her best A3- C5. Seulgi at her best G3/G#3- Bb4/B4. Hwasa has regressed a little but she's still better.. Hwasa is a borderline low above average whereas Seulgi is a high average. If y'all want accurate kpop rankings go to channels like Soul Velvet, Yeoun, Adindho, Reggie Vu. I know you lying by saying Hwasa is an overhyped vocalist, when she moresos hyped up for stage presence. This is coming from an OT4 stan..

I think it's unfair say that Camila's voice is annoying without saying that it's subjective. Just because someone's voice is very highly placed that doesn't mean that it's annoying. And her voice is in fact unique because how many people in the industry or even in general have a voice like her. I'm not even a stan but you can't really say something like that cause that's just the voice she was born with. There's nothing she can do about it. She doesn't lift her larynx when she sings and if she did than boy I wouldn't be defending her rn. I mean come on some say Mariah's voice is annoying so.... And also let's be real.
