Superb segment! Im from that area (live out of state, now...) But I am a Black Caribbean-American woman who's very afraid for my family and friends there. This was such a great segment, because it showed the truth. The reason this area was reaching out to immigrants was because they suffered A LOT of loss due to the Opioid epidemic coupled with industry jobs being shipped overseas. When I still lived there, and worked in child welfare, there was a huge surge to the CPS system in Montgomery, Clark, Preble, Greene, Hamilton, and all surrounding counties. Something JD Vance may have been able to explain, if he actually knew how to be a politician, instead of just playing one on tv. He COULD have been an advocate and a champion of services, especially coming from a background of a drug addicted mother who may have needed those services in the past. Instead, he chose to demonize and put at risk, his OWN constituents! We do NOT need someone so hungry for his own ambition and opportunities, that he will bulldoze over real and actual families and put them at great risk. Its absolutely repulsive what he's done. Please vote Harris-Walz 2024 and 💙 up and down the ballot. Republicans need the chance to get their party under control. Im a proud Democrat, but I welcome the policy discussions, debates, etc that don't put MY FAMILY afraid for their lives!
